“One of the greatest!!!”
Reviewed October 28, 2012

As soon as we stepped thru the door we were greeted by a very friendly young lady at the front desk by the name of Amy. She greeted us with a warm welcome and promptly registered us in our room, along with the friendly reminder, if we need anything let her know, along with a quick reminder about the morning breakfast- time, location and menu. After we opened the door to our rooom, it was very neat, clean an fresh smelling. After being in the room for about 10 minutes, the phone rang. It was Amy at the front desk asking if everything was OK and if we needed anything. Not needing anything, we thanked her for concern and call. Shortly after that, I found that I had trouble connecting to the internet. This was my first visit to anywhere with my new laptop and really didn't have any idea how to connect to the internet. I called down to the front desk and asked if help was available. Amy said to come down and she would show me how to connect. When I arrived at the front desk, Amy was busy greeting and checking in more guests.
All of a sudden, coming from the back room was another young lady, who said "don't worry I'll show you how to connect your computer to the internet. Her name was Tina and she was just as friendly and helpful as Tina. One thing I did notice while I was in the lobby aea. Everyone that came in or went walking by, they both continually asked if they oud help you. It was so good to see hotel personnel taking a personal interest in evryone they came in contact with. I have been in some hotels when the desk clerk doesn't even look at you when checking you in. As for the breakfast. It too was great. There were an abundant of choices for breakfast, including a variety of juices, fruit, pastry, along with other breakfast idems- including making your own waffles. This hotel was great! To bad you couldn't clone Tina & Amy and send them to some of the competition to hold classes on how to be customer oriented. If I ever travel around this area again, I definitly, will make my reservation at this hotel.

We enjoyed everything about this place. Staff was great, room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was perfect and staff kept the serving area clean and well stocked. The indoor pool and hot tub were warm and clean, one of the best I've seen. This was a good choice for a place to stay.

Room Tip: Stay on the side away from interstate, facing the fast food places.

We’ve stayed in many Hampton Inns all over the country, but this wasn’t one of our favorites. Our room was clean and had a microwave and mini fridge, but it was very small and dimly lit. The furniture was oddly placed, and the TV had a very limited selection of channels. The best part of the room was the bathroom. It was a good size and there was plenty of counter space. Breakfast was so-so, and the fitness room didn’t have an exercise bike. We travel to this area often, but we’ll be staying somewhere else next time.

Thank you for the feedback regarding your stay. I am sorry that we did not exceed your expectations. We do have more spacious room options. We have a King Studio which is about twice the size of our standard king. Also we have enlarge double queen rooms, which are very spacious.

If you do stay with us again, please take note of our television channel line up in the guest directory. We offer 200+ channels including an expansive high definition line-up.

Thank you again & please come back and and see us soon.

My husband and I stay here during our trip to Chattanooga. We were here to ride the Tennessee Valley Rail from Chattanooga to Summerville, Ga. The hotel was very well kept. Staff were wonderful and very helpful. We will stay here again next year. Breakfast very good for a buffet and kept warm for guest. Plenty of hot coffee and warm cookies.

Rolled into town late with my young son (we had not expected to make it all the way to Chattanooga that night). There were only 2 rooms left and people were still coming in the door. The front desk held me a room while I went to the side in the lobby, signed online with my laptop, and secured the room with Hilton Honors points. The staff was great through the whole process. As for the stay, Hampton Inn sure has come a long way. This property looks new or is newly renovated. The room was fresh and clean very well appointed, with, for example, granite countertops in the bathroom. Everything looked new. Our stay was great. Note that the hotel is near the interstate so if you are a light sleeper, ask for a room on the opposite side away from the traffic noise. We would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the highway if you are a light sleeper.

We stopped here last night while driving through on a road trip to DC. The lobby is beautiful, and the hotel staff were helpful and pleasant. We were unable to get a good price on a hotel in the Chattanooga Lookout Mountain area, and this was a much more reasonable price. The rooms were immaculate with comfortable beds. The hotel appears to be fairly new. My only complaint was that the room started out feeling stuffy and damp, but it improved after we turned the AC ON high.

Lovely room, easy check in. Comfortable bed, roomy bathroom. Had issues with the TV but the man at the desk was very helpful and found the cable box wasn't turned on. Had a lightbulb burned out near the bed. Called and asked to fix it. That evening, still not fixed. They said the person would be in the next day to fix it (after we left). Also had a switch in the bathroom that wasn't working properly. However, the room was comfortable and had enough space. Towels nice, sheets nice. We have a noise machine and weren't terribly bothered by all the traffic noise but others may be. Easy access to gas stations, Walmart and just a few minutes from Collegedale (Southern Adventist University) and our daughter in Chattanooga. Next exit has the popular used bookstore McKays and 3 exits down is the biggest mall in TN. Although that area is full of motels (Shallowford Exit) they are rundown and poorly maintained. This was a treat after staying in them prior to this visit. Lovely homes in this area. Got a discount from Travelocity. Close to this area there was a tornado several months ago and there are still people and work men staying there. The hotel was full.
