We needed a day of rest on a long trip. VERY glad we drove the extra 20 miles outside of Knoxville to visit Oak Ridge. Museum was great. Lots of hands-on things, very interactive for kids but also interesting enough to entertain adults.

This information contains a lot of good information and interactive exhibits. However, some of the material needs to be updated.

This museum is amazing. Not only is it a science museum, which is already very cool, but it is also a museum on the history of Oak Ridge and The Secret City. We learned so much and had a lot of fun while we were here. The staff is so friendly and helpful and the exhibits and wonderful. They have different exhibits at different times, so check ahead of time to see what they will have in store for you when you go! I would recommend this for families with children of all ages, or for highschool/college students just wanting a fun day.

I took my 7 and 9 year olds to the museum and they had a blast! We spent 2 hours inside and still didn't really get to see everything. We will definitely be going back!
