We had a good time, my daughter didn't want to leave the doll house. Me and my husband think its haunted, we were at the end I think it was the science room, its the room connected to the dark room with animals. We walked in that connected door and it shuts for no reason on us. We just got a spooky feeling it may of been nothing, he even opened the door again to see if something was wrong with the door and it seemed to be ok.

The displays are rather fun and well thought-out. They are a little out of date and could use some more interactive features. The train model portion is a bit difficult to schedule and remember the days of the month it is available.

I highly recommend the Children's Museum and not just for the children. So many improvements over the years and a very positive, open atmosphere. The exhibits include the Applachian background, Girl Scouting, the history of Oak Ridge and done in the educational levels that children can see, touch and understand plus the gardens and new exhibits being planned and developed. It was certainly impressive.
