Description: We are located in historic Jackson Square. This property once housed Jackson Square pharmacy. After 55 years in the same family this property became available because the previous owners wished to retire. We were lucky to get it. We renovated and tried to keep as much of the original charm as possible. We hope you like it.

It's good. Go here. I've been looking for a good home style catfish and greens place. I found it. Top it off with an excellent salad and coconut pie.

I am glad you found our catfish enjoyable. We sell a ton of it and people do seem to like it. We appreciate your doing business with us because we know there are a lot of places you could go. Thank you for taking the time to review us.

Found Deans on Trip Advisor. The food was to die for. Excellent portions, fantastic flavor and quality! I had the Pot Roast with 3 sides. The Pot Roast melted in your mouth and the portion was HUGE! The sides were not from a can. Wood fired asparagus and again, a lot of it plus new potatoes in butter and a house salad that was enormous! The place was SPOTLESS clean as well. I will be going there again and soon!

We ate dinner at Dean's and everything we ordered was good. The home-made fries, however, would have been a lot better if not so salty. Dean's does not serve wine, but you can take your own; however, there is a $2 per person fee for wine glasses. This is not an unusual charge, but the server didn't mention the fee; it just showed up on the bill. The menu was also rather unclear about how much a salad would add to the bill, as opposed to some other side dish. Again, the extra amount was small, but the server's response was to take the bill to inquire--and bring it back, unchanged, with no explanation or comment. So.....Dean's is an excellent value and the food is good, but be sure to clarify costs. A big plus is that tables aren't crowded together, so, although it was full, it was not overly noisy.

Everything about Deans is first rate. Great food, fast, friendly service, nice atmosphere, excellent prices, easy parking. You couldn't ask for more. This is our "go to" restaurant every time we want a nice lunch or dinner out. I especially love their salmon and pot roast. They have excellent sides too - try their potato salad and marinated veggies. Even have deviled eggs as a side! Amazing home made desserts too. Just love this place!
