“Full of Atmosphere”
Reviewed June 29, 2013

We have been here twice. Once with another couple and once with our daughter-in-law and three grandchildren ages 9 and 7 (boy and girl twins). Loved it both times. Do not count on the children occupying themselves with cell phone or I-pad games. There is no cell phone reception at this remote location. Take something else for them to play with if you go on a non-buffet night because the chef prepares your food after the order is taken so there is a waiting period.

This last time we went with children we let them order from the adult menu as a special treat. No one had a complaint about the food. Our meals included spicy pork chops, ribs, catfish, and mussels with angel hair pasta. The food was at the correct temperature. Their sourdough bread is excellent. Save room for the dessert tray.

One must have reservations.

“Valentine day catastrophe seconded”
Reviewed February 15, 2013

My wife and I were 2 of the six from previous review. Agree with all stated however 2 years ago my wife and I enjoyed a great experience here. It was our anniversary and we were literally the only couple in the restaurant! I understand that was a previous owner? We had a different server (as one would expect) and he was fantastic! Food was awesome but then it's hard to serve cold food to the only guest you have. New owner, different server and more guest (not overly crowded but alone either) and whole new experience. Too bad we were the ones that recommended the place and we feel we let our friends down :-(

“Valentines Day Catastrophe!”
Reviewed February 15, 2013

I had heard great reviews, however, our experience last night,14 Feb 2013, was a disaster. We arrived 15 minutes before our 5:45 reservation for 6 people (3 couples). The trip was at least a 45 minute drive for four of us, after working all day. Seated and orders placed by 6:00, finally served our main entree at 7:45, prime med rare prime rib orders served at med well, all meats and fish served Luke warm, soft drink order served flat, sent back for replacements, never returned. Primary server rarely returned to our table...asked to speak to owner, David Hazelwood who was chatting with another customer, continued with his conversation for 10 add'l min before addressing our concerns. Offered to adjust our bill, after 20 min came back at 1/2 off, ie, $68 meal offered at $34. Not worth $10! Unfortunately, our friends had the same experience with their orders. We were asked if we enjoyed our dessert as we were getting ready to depart, our servers never mentioned to us anything about the dessert table! Our ordeal began at 6:00pm, checks finally brought to us at 8:30. Thank goodness for good conversation with our dear friends. Based upon our experience, we will not return.

“Beautiful & Classy”
Reviewed July 24, 2012

The food is wonderful, the service is great and the views are breathtaking! Not exactly child friendly...if you have a little one...might need to bring your own booster seat.

“Excellent Sunday Brunch”
Reviewed April 22, 2012

We attended Easter Sunday and had a superb brunch, the lamb was offered as we liked, medium rare, the array of meats, side dishes, salads, and desserts were ample and the quality of the foods offered, all made on the premises, as well as the wine list that has some nice offerings at moderate prices.
The service is lovely, the views and atmosphere are the best in the area and the drive there is beautiful.
We go often and each time we are very pleased.
