Absolutely wonderful place to stay. The staff, food, and accomodations were all 5 star. Added plus is the pub which served delicious food and a choice selecton of beers, wines and spirits by a roaring fire.

We recently stayed for 2 nights at Christopher place, we were aware of Christopher Place because we had stayed there 1.5 years ago before I had a kidney transplant to relax before my surgery and it fit the bill perfectly and had such a wonderful time that when were looking for a place to relax with friends we immediately thought of Christopher Place.
We had perfect weather for our visit and stayed in the same room we stayed in 1.5 years ago the Secret Garden. While the Secret Garden is one of the lower priced rooms we think it's the best room, it has a queen size bed that is so comfortable I could sleep the entire day away with a down comforter and supersoft pillows, the room also had a 2 person shower with a shower head at each end and a 2 person hot tub in the corner, there is also a nice view from the tiny window out of which we saw a flock of wild turkeys walking by one morning. There were also soft warm robes hanging in the bathroom and all the amenities you might forget to bring with you like cotton balls, q-tips, lotion etc. While this might seem like a minor thing it was just one example of all the small details that are paid attention to by Christopher Place. As I said before the bed was super comfortable and we would have slept all day if it weren't for the wonderful full size breakfast they have ready for you at whatever time you request. We had a wonderful breakfast each morning that was so large and filling we never ate lunch the entire time we were there. We also had reservations for dinner with our 8 other friends that were staying at the resort and C.P was incredibly accomodating to our needs, I can't say enough about how wonderful CP is and would HIGHLY recommend it for a couple looking for a weekend to relax alone together or spending time hanging out with old friends. Oh and one important thing my husband asked me to mention, the best thing about our room was that we were close to the recreation room which boasts a pool table, big screen TV, board games and a fridge with water and soda available anytime but most importantly (according to my husband) fresh baked cookies!

We recently spent a weekend at Christopher Place with several friends. There were five couples in our group and the owner went out of his way to make us feel welcome. We stayed in the Tournament of Roses room which is located on the second floor of the pool house/workout room and is separate from the rest of the B&B. It was very private and romantic with a four poster queen size bed, wood burning fireplace, small sofa and jacuzzi tub for two. A nice touch was the iPod player on the bedside table which we used all the time. The TV was satellite, but we didn't really watch except for morning news and weather. The bed was very comfortable and there was an extra blanket in the closet for the chilly nights.

The days were unseasonably warm during our stay and we were able to enjoy the rocking chairs on the back patio overlooking the beautiful view while several in our group played a game of croquet on the lawn. Afterward we enjoyed a walk up the hiking trail located on the property and took a few pictures before heading back down for an afternoon cocktail in the Library Pub.

We had dinner on Saturday night in the Mountain View Dining Room which we had made reservations for ahead of time. We ordered wine from their extensive wine list and the dessert was a chocolate molten cake with vanilla ice cream that was a perfect ending to a delicious meal.

We had an amazing weekend and would highly recommend Christopher Place for a little R&R at a beautiful B&B overlooking the Great Smokey Mountain National Park.

We just returned from two nights of pure delight. We both work difficult schedules and have to steal what time we can to be together. We happened upon Christopher Place while looking for a Bed and Breakfast on a website. Websites can always look much better than the actual product. Well the website did not even begin to touch on the wonder that awaited us. The Inn is absolutely gorgeous. Location is breathtaking and the service is on a par with the Ritz Carlton. We have stayed in some of the best hotels around the world so do not give out compliments easily. Christopher Place deserves only the best compliments!

We arrived late and were greeted at the door by a delightful employee. He showed us our room and then met us in the bar where he had two martinis waiting for us. He prepared us dinner and attentively addressed all of our needs. The food was delicious. We sat in front of a crackling fire and unwound from a long day.

We originally planned to just stay one night but quickly adjusted our schedules so we could stay two nights.

Christopher Place is truly a romantic get away that stories are made of. Solitude, luxury, exceptional service...... what more could one ask for? We will definitely go back over and over again.

This was the most romantic and incredibly gorgeous hotel I have ever stayed at. We had a suite in the guest house with the in room whirlpool tub. The hotel is gorgeous and the views are incredible. The staff did everything they possibly could to make our stay as delightful as possible. We stayed 3 days and everything was fabulous each day. The room was comfortable and furnished beautifully, the gameroom was fantastic. I felt like I was staying at someone's private mansion. The food is incredible and not to be missed, breakfast was delicious each day and the dinner was the best food I have ever had in my life. If you truly want a romantic getaway to a serene and beautiful location, this is the place to go!

My husband and I have been back from holiday now for over a month, we had 3 weeks travelling in the USA & I can't get Christopher place out of my mind it was a real haven and, by far the most outstanding place we stayed. The standard of accommodation was magnificant, the food excellent and the staff so wonderful, the owner Marston was the perfect host. We had two lovely evenings in Marstons pub and met some wonderful guests, two in particular we hope to meet up with again. We have wonderful memories of Christopher place which I'm sure will stay with us for a lifetime, we'd love to return sometime.

My husband and I spent our honeymoon at the Christopher Place in mid-October of this year. To say that we were absolutely thrilled with this wonderful little resort is an understatement. To begin, we arrived late in the afternoon, took a walk around their beautiful garden and enjoyed the amazing view of the Smokies. We were welcomed with a delicious fruit tray and water - very welcome after a long day of driving. For a couple of nights we enjoyed a casual dinner and drinks in the bar / library room. Breakfast was served fresh each morning at the time of our choice, and each day's meal was more scrumptious than the next. Dinner in the formal dinning room is an event that must be experienced to be appreciated. The four-course meals boasted a melody of seasonal flavors and were wonderfully done. The staff was very helpful, and Marston, the owner was warm and welcoming. If a quiet, peaceful retreat without breaking the bank is what you seek, this is definitely the place to stay.
