We opted to stay at the Union Station Hotel for our last night in Nashville. The lobby with its soaring, ornate ceiling is a marvel and throw-back to an era where attention to detail in architecture was a given. If you don't happen to stay at this lovely hotel, at least check out the lobby. Our room was quite large but a little on the dark side. The bed was comfortable and the room well appointed. No complaints there.
We did have breakfast in the hotel before our flight out but if time wasn't a factor would probably have gone elsewhere. While the young man who took our order made every attempt to satisfy my requests, $20 for a bowl of oatmeal was a bit more than I would have spent. A small inconvenience of an otherwise very nice stay.More
