“Go location, Helpful staff - Building site next door too Noisy!!”
Reviewed February 16, 2014

Arrived mid afternoon on a friday. Staff were friendly and happy to share a laugh. Checked in. Room, clean tidy. For the price you pay it was great.

It is near some bars and restaurants you can walk too within minutes, which was great.

It is a cab ride from downtown, but you can easily walk it within 20 mins or so. Can cost around $10 each time. There are loads available, you never wait long.

Only one issue, we were room 350 and faced a building site. As you guessed they started work at 6am saturday and sunday morning!

Not much hotel could do, but if you are booking, as for a room on the opposite side.

Good value for money

Room Tip: There is building going on next to the hotel, Ask for a room opposite 350

I really enjoyed my stay at Comfort Inn downtown last night. The staff were friendly and helpful-- even gave me a shower cap so I wouldn't get my hair wet going back outside in the pouring rain.
The breakfast was great and the room was comfortable - great pillows and I slept really well. The room had a nice wardrobe in it with plenty of hangers. Also, there was a great full length mirror in the sink area. I've stayed at a lot more expensive hotels that don't provide a full length mirror.
I would definitely stay here again.
Thank you!

We stayed here January 2014 as part of a travel agency booked party bus that took us to Nashville to see our favorite band compete in a battle of the bands. First of all the location was perfect! The Tin Roof, which was the venue for the competition, was directly across the street. A 5 minute cab ride would bring you down to the strip to all the other cool joints

The hotel was definitely well worn, but very clean. The beds were wonderful and even though it was close to all the action, it was very quiet at night. The continental breakfast was not first class, but it was better then nothing. There was a coffee machine in the lobby that was available 24-hours that made a good single serve cup.

House keeping did a wonderful job. Our room was always straightened when we would get back at night and all of the towels, etc were restocked.

There is a small fridge in the room as well as a flat screen TV and a safe.

I think some of the previous reviewers were a bit rugged on this place. Maybe they should have been out enjoying Nashville more instead of worrying about the room It is not the JW, but for about $100 a night, you can't beat it.

I went here with my son when we were looking at colleges in Nashville. The location was ok (just a mile from Vanderbilt and 1.5-miles to downtown), but it seems a bit unsavory at night. There is a strip of restaurants and bars across the street from the hotel that were hopping on Saturday night, and the patrons parked in the hotel lot leaving no spaces for us when we returned to the hotel at night. Management allowed us to park in an illegal space by the elevator. The room was comfortable with two double beds and a refrigerator. Hot breakfast is included and includes eggs, make your own waffles, biscuits and gravy, fresh fruit, etc. Not great, but about what you'd expect for the price. We got a good deal on Priceline, so the hotel cost less than half of what other hotels closer to Vandy would have cost, and the school was maybe a 5-minute drive. Service was fine and the room was clean. There is a parking garage under construction next door that will alleviate the crowding in the hotel parking lot but could attract a bad crowd. Remains to be seen.

Room Tip: This is a place to stay when you just want a comfortable place to lay your head at the end of a long...

Requested king bed - on check in offered only 2 queens, room was clean but had electrical tape and wire nuts on bathroom floor. Coffee available 24/7 in lobby which was great. Breakfast left much to ask for. Biscuits & Gravy - lots of gravy very very little sausage and biscuits were hard. No bacon or sausage available and the taste of the eggs resembled what I would believe cardboard would taste like. Stay in hotels 6 - 8 months a year due to job and this one rates in the lower 25%

Room Tip: Location and price was great.

While they are working on some upgrades, the rates were as high as Embassy Suites Vanderbilt, with no where near the ammenities, to command the price.

The King room is crowded, and while the bed was comfortable, the bath has been upgraded, but was not as clean as it should have been. We couldn't pass each other, between the bed and the armoire.

The breakfast room is new and nice, but inconvenient as it is on the third floor, and was quite a long way from our room, over a block to walk, plus taking the elevator or stairs. In addition, there is no rest room convenient to the breakfast area.

We didn't feel that the neighborhood was safe enough for our daughter and granddaughter to walk from their hotel to ours.

The Internet is slow, if you can get it to work!

I was a bit leary about staying here after reading some of the reviews, but then you never know what is good to some people and what is what is bad. I enjoyed a pleasant stay. While small, the room was clean, comfortable and quiet. It's obvious they are trying to upgrade the property. Staff was friendly and efficient. Breakfast was acceptable. About what you should expect from a Comfort Inn. Its not supposed to be a fine dining experience. A good value for the money and the stay. It's an easy and safe 1 mile walk to the Music City Center. If you don't want to walk, a cab ride is only $4.40

Room Tip: I stayed on the 1st floor near the inside of the property and it was quiet. You may hear traffic noi...
