The location to broadway is about 3 miles. They have two free shuttles that run until 1030, wish they ran later - and we called for a shuttle around 10, waited 20 minutes, called again, driver got there at 1025 and then told us he was done for the night. I had to get hotel staff to make him drive us downtown. Cab fare was about $10 back. (Not bad)

Rooms were nice, nothing spectacular but nothing wrong. Updated tvs and had a nice view of the Nashville skyline. Nice art. They had a singer/songwriter show while we were there, that was fun. Bar was nice. No breakfast. Easy access to interstate. All in all I would stay there again if I couldn't find something for around the same price closer to broadway.

Stayed for one night- very accessible of I-65. Hotel is a just outside the downtown area but there is a free shuttle with last pick-up @ 10:30 PM. Parking is ample. Lobby was spacious with great posters of country music icons. Room was good size and we did not hear any outside noise. Room and bathroom were adequately clean.
Movies on cable were a little expensive to purchase - about $18.
My friend used the exercise/fitness room which she said was adequate

We stayed at the hotel over Valentine's Day weekend. We flew in so we called the shuttle and it picked us up at the airport and the driver welcomed us to Nashville.

The lobby is inviting. Check in was easy. We had a room on the 7th floor. Our room was clean and we found no issues. We were thankful for the two free Dasani waters that were in our room upon arrival.

Yes, the hotel has been around awhile, you can tell by the rooms, but it was clean and our bed was new, it was comfortable.

The breakfast for $10 was okay. I guess we got our money's worth but it wasn't anything to write home about.

We took advantage of the shuttle as we were there to hear country music and sight see. So, we caught the shuttle downtown to the Ryman a few times and then walked to where we were going. There were 3 shuttles running and we never waited more than about 15 minutes. On Saturday, we took the shuttle in and our driver told us that we could walk 4 blocks up the street and catch the bus station which we did and took the city bus out to Opry Mills for shopping. It was an adventure and we would have never known about it without our driver.

Once we were downtown at night, we took a taxi back. We did it twice and it was a $10 cab ride. Really, if you dont have a car down there, it was a nice feature.

We would have liked to stay downtown in the action, but the prices of the downtown hotels were at least $100 more than the Millenium so that is why we felt this place was a great value if you are on a budget.

We would definitely stay here again.

During my upcoming visit to Nashville Tennessee, I was traveling and weary from the inclement weather. As I phoned the switchboard at Maxwell House the reservation clerk, Katrina Pritchard was patient professional and proved to me that southern hospitality is best. I had trouble telling her my card number and during the too long conversation, Katrina never seemed to rush me and made me feel like I was the most important patron they would serve that evening... On my arrival the front desk clerks treated me the same. The room was superb and the buffet breakfast is exceptional... My son attends Tennessee State University nearby. I will be calling for
Reservations for spring football game all because Katrina set the tone for excellent customer service during my first impression.....

Pros:
Room was clean with a million towels.

The bottled water in the room is free and will be replaced (cleaning staff repeatedly told us this).

Free wifi in lobby ONLY

Cumberland River Trail is only 0.8 miles away if you want to run

Shuttle to and from airport

Cons:
The location is NOT what I consider downtown. It is about 3 miles north of Broadway.

The shuttle is useful but you will wait and there is a huge disconnect between the front desk and the drivers. It is claimed to go anywhere within a 5 mile radius. The drivers will fight this. The front desk does NOT know when it will be back. Dont bother asking.

If you book on priceline ect it claims free wifi, It is NOT free in the rooms.

Breakfast is NOT included

The shower didnt drain properly

The heating system makes incredible noises that made me think it was broken. It is inconsistent and will wake you throughout the night if you are a light sleeper.

Overall, I would not recommend this hotel. Almost all hotels have free shuttles.

Spent the long weekend here. Great deal from PriceLine made this hotel cheaper than a Hampton Inn. Double bed room on the 8th floor was well kept, roomy, and quite adequate. Made up every day. Desk staff couldn't have been more helpful. Nothing seemed run down or poorly kept where I went. I did not eat at this hotel. As is typical of this price hotel, they charge $10/day for internet, and $2 per call for local calls. no charge to park, but the parking was outdoor.
