Will start off by saying I haven't stayed at a Loews I didn't like. This one is a nice property and a great location in Nashville. However, I've stayed at a couple other hotels in Nashville which are equally nice/convenient and less than the Loews. I didn't experience anything at the hotel that warranted the premium. although we did see the guy from "Pickers". Other than that, don't think the name is worth the extra cost.

Greetings gsw83,
Thank you for your review of the stay you had at the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel. We apologize that you did not feel the Loews was the best option for you while in Nashville. We would have wanted you to feel as you do when staying at other Loews Hotels in our brand. Please give us another opportunity if visiting Nashville again in the near future.

I stayed here two nights for a conference. Great location across the street from Vanderbilt. The food was good. Staff were consistently helpful and polite. The only problem I had was with slow complimentary internet service (too slow to work at all one day), but when I mentioned it at the front desk they took the charge off for upgrading to premium service.

I would stay here again.

After confirmation through Expedia that we had a room for the Women's Final Four, I was not expecting much for the price. I was totally surprised!! The check-in went flawless with a very helpful staff. The room was bigger than I expected with a very comfortable King Size bed. The room was very clean and modern. The only bad mark would be if they had a Buffet for breakfast rather than the expensive menu items. And this hotel is about 1 1/2 miles to the downtown, so there are not a lot of other choice's nearby.
If we return to Nashville again I highly recommend the Lowe's Vanderbilt.

I stayed in this hotel several times in the 1990s, when it was one of the top three hotels in Nashville. With more recent additions, like the Hutton hotel down the street, Loew's Vanderbilt Plaza in my opinion is no longer in the top ten. Although the rooms and lobby have been updated, if you look closer it's only a thin cosmetic touch up. Our room was very musty with age. The drinks in the bar were watered down and parking was hilariously over priced. The rooms, however, are larger than the average hotel because of the building's unique layout and architecture, and you won't be disappointed in the style if you like modern (think W Hotels). The staff wasn't polished to the level you would expect in higher class hotel.

Room Tip: Ice machines are on every other floor, if that is something you will need.

This is a nice, clean and comfortable hotel near the Vanderbilt University. We were there for the 2014 NCAA Women's basketball Final Four tournament and this was one of the team hotels. The tournament had shuttles to the downtown area but the hotel also had their own. Without them this is a bit far to walk to where the music and many of the sites are. Niceville also have many of the points of interest out of town so 4 of us rented a car to go see them. Hertz has a convenient counter right in the hotel. The hotel has rooms that are comfortable, elevators that are a bit slow, decent free wifi (although it kept dropping out periodically) and a good bar with a huge multiscreen tv. If we were to visit Nashville again this may be one of our possibilities but more than likely we would stay at one of the hotels in the downtown area to minimize the use of taxis.

We stayed at the Loews Vanderbilt as a group of 8 friends. We usually try to stay in a vacation rental, so we have a gathering place, but the concierge level at this hotel was a perfect alternative. The morning breakfasts and the evening happy hours were wonderful! I can't say enough good things about the service. Miguel is delightful and so attentive! I was sad to say goodbye to him. The valet service, especially Ryan, was unbelievable. The extra costs are more than worth it! We would love to stay at the Loews Vanderbilt again. Thanks for everything!

Room Tip: Definitely book on the Concierge Leve. You won't regret it!

Hello HBunna,
Thank you for the great review of the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel when you and friends joined us recently. Yes, being one of the only hotels in Nashville that offers a private Concierge Level has made family or friend getaways very convenient. Miguel is a fantastic addition to our lounge and is always ready to greet guests during the evening hours. Please come back to see us when in Nashville.

I stayed here on business for 3 1/2 weeks and as a woman traveling by myself, I felt well looked after and safe. The room was clean and pleasant, the bed was firm and comfortable, the towels were good and maintenance brought me a small refrigerator and a microwave for my entire stay. The hotel shuttle was convenient, the bellmen eagerly and courteously took me within a 3 mile radius several times: picked me up from a restaurant when my friends went off to a club, a couple of trips to the Turnip Truck, a great organic food market. Room service is delicious, from the Mason Restaurant downstairs, but if you like Indian food, there is a great place right across the street: Sitar. Next time I come to Nashville, I will definitely stay here!

Room Tip: Corner rooms are more private and quieter when there are weekend partiers in town. Higher floors hav...
