Description: Butcher & Bee started out serving honest-to-goodness sandwiches made with flavor combinations and food quality usually reserved for fine dining. Now their offerings have grown beyond sandwiches to all types of foods. And they bring them to you from local farmers who produce spectacular flavors. Supporting local and sustainable is not a slogan. It's the right thing to do, and the food tastes better for it.

Made a reservation here based on reviews, and what a great experience. The food was imaginative and cosmopolitan, with a local southern flair. We ended up ordering around twelve dishes from the menu, our favorite being the creamy whipped feta, the octopus, and cheeseburger. Felt like a nice cross-section of Nashville. The person in charge of the playlist did a stupendous job!

Our party found the restaurant attractive with a welcoming hostess and waitress.
The best part of the meal were the appetizers such as the: grilled radishes, fire roasted carrots, shaved root vegetables, whipped feta with pita bread as well as the tiger brussel sprouts, and meatballs. BUT: The hamburgers were overlooked and lacked flavor and the buns were blackened. The fries were too salty. The main courses such as lamb and hangar steak were skimpy and the octopus poke too salty and the combination of the items did not work...plus the octopus was overcooked.
We found the two desserts ordered too sweet.

We had dinner here for our 4 year wedding anniversary and it was everything we were looking for; clean and customized decor, friendly and helpful service, an unusual menu concept, and great food!

The menu is broken down into three categories; a pre-appetizer size, an appetizer size, and an entree size. We ordered 4 of the pre-apps, 3 of the standard appetizer size, and split the entree. We left totally stuffed! Though dessert sounded wonderful, we simply didn't have room left.

The server walked us through the menu and made recommendations on what a table of our size would typically order, and were encouraged to share. We ordered one category at a time and they were delivered the dishes as they were ready.

Though not everything was "mind-blowingly" delicious, everything was tasty and fairly unique. Hands down, our favorite item was the whipped feta. If we lived in Nashville, this place would definitely go into our rotation of date night favorites locations.

"Hipster" style chow stop. Trying to be clever and succeeding I guess, doesn't mean it's good, wasn't impressed with the food, it didn't quite rise to the level of average to me. Also it's crowded, has uncomfortable industrial style seating, and high prices. Pass.

We had been looking forward to a visit here for a couple of months and went last weekend after hearing some initial buzz. We waited for 45 minutes for a seat while half the restaurant sat empty and eventually opted for a seat a the bar. The menu was creative but didn't hold up in presentation or taste. We wanted to try several dishes from their mezze style menu and the whipped feta and brisket meatballs were good but everything else sort of tailed off from there and lacked flavor. Gnocchi tasted like bland instant mashed potatoes than gnocchi. Another annoying thing was the bartenders didn't really seemed too amped on serving their customers and seemed to ignore everyone at the bar which everyone seemed to notice or comment on. The bar staff proceeded to do a few rounds of shots together in front of the customers rather than serve the customers which is ok if you're in a college bar I suppose but not what we expected here. The staff simply didn't care and were sloppy and haphazard the whole night. I am disappointed as I always pull for new restaurants in Nashville to succeed so I hate it when a new place in town misses the mark completely.
