We enjoyed a late supper at Flyte recently and it was a nice experience. The staff is extremely friendly, informative and enjoyable. We started out with the Buttermilk Marinated Fennel salad and the Pimento Cheese, both very good, but the Pimento Cheese was phenomenally the better choice. For entrees we had the Lamb Flyte which was out of this world good and the rice and pea accompaniment went right along well with the meat. We tried the Tagliatelle but sent it back as it was nothing different than we make at home, and replaced that with the King Salmon which was very nice, albeit the soup underneath the fish was extremely salty. We enjoyed our meal and the experience at Flyte, the wine list provides a wide assortment and the staff very helpful with recommendations and communications about the wines. We enjoy the farm to fork attitude that restaurants are taking and Flyte is right up there in the mix. Well done, but I would suggest backing off the salt shaker a bit. Cheers!

We spent our first Valentine's Day here in 2009 and loved it, but my husband's birthday dinner last night left us both with digestive troubles for 12+ hours. The waitstaff are friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly enamoured with the new award-winning chef, and the complimentary birthday champagne was much appreciated. However, our overall experience was that the menu items -- albeit innovative, tasty, and colorfully presented -- were not chosen with nutritional balance in mind, nor was the menu clear about what to expect in terms of flavors and sauces. The food was rich, buttery, very salty, with the meat dishes lacking balance by "blander" carbs and vegetables. The forced-valet parking in the restaurant's roomy lot was also frustrating.

Spent an evening celebrating our anniversary at Flyte, and everything we had was fabulous. The tomato salad was the best we had had this season, and we have tried others at other restaurants. Pleasing to the eye and the palate, colorful and a little spicy. The manager learning of our celebration offered a glass of champagne on them, but we passed and then he brought a small glass of white wine to go better with our salads than the bottle of red we had ordered. Nice. I had the chicken and it was served with the most luscious mashed potatoes and lima beans. My husband had the steak and was equally pleased that he could have it with the sides from the chicken dish. What a great help for someone who loves meat and potatoes, as he does. The desserts were all tempting but we passed as we were totally satisfied from our meal. As the check came, so did 2 small scrumptious brownie bites. We couldn't resist and weren't disappointed. Flyte is our go-to restaurant for company and for date-night and now you can see why. Seriously great service and seriously great food.

Visited here on recommendation of a friend. I was not disappointed. Fantastic wine list, bartenders very helpful. Appetizers so large that I order a couple for my dinner. Excellent, although the descriptions sounded weird, upon tasting they were absolutely scrumptous. Nice atmosphere, although walking around the bar area can be tricky if its crowded. I'll be going back to make sure I order a full meal soon. Valet parking provided as it can get crowded quickly.
