Chef Christopher Stallard strives to offer responsibly sourced meat and fish and locally grown produce whenever possible. Middle Tennessee and the surrounding areas provide a vast selection of delicious artisan foods. We collaborate with and promote nearly a dozen nearby farms and producers. Wine Director and Co-owner Scott Sears has compiled a superb high-value selection of delicious and often unfamiliar wines from around the globe, the majority of which are available by the glass. Scott aims to provide guests with the opportunity to explore wines they've never tasted or even heard of before, or to get to know wines that are variations on their favorites.

“Not to be missed in Nashville”
Reviewed January 3, 2012

Superbly sourced local ingredients, imaginativey prepared, and skillfully served, all combine to make this a restaurant that would be the envy of any city. To have it in Nashville just adds to the ambiance. Easy to get in and out of, reservations handled seemlessly, and a very clean environment. But the food, ah yes, the food, so well prepared; from butternut squash ravioli to a lamb saddle that will stand as one of the best dishes I have ever tasted. True to the name, you can have flytes of salads, soups, or our favorite, wines. Very diverse, educated wine list that will not break the bank. All in all, do not miss dining at one of the best venues in Nashville, that could stand the competition in many different cities. You will not be disappointed.

“Best dining experience in Nashville!”
Reviewed December 15, 2011

I have visited Nashville dozens of times over the past 20 years and enjoyed dining at a wide range of restaurants from the "hot" new places to old standards such as Merchants, The Stockyard, etc. I have dined at Flyte a number of times over the past couple years and had top-notch service, food and excellent wine recommendations during each visit. The atmosphere is the perfect balance of being casual and elegant. One of my favorite touches on the interior: Tables are spaced perfectly where you are not sharing dinner with the table next you but you do not feel like you are isolated on an island either. Flyte is similarly perfect for an intimate dinner or a business meal.

“Trying too hard”
Reviewed December 5, 2011

Based on reviews here I was hoping for more. Flyte is trying hard to be a top restaurant but perhaps a bit too hard. Dining room ambience is industrial look, but that lost its charm ten years ago. Most importantly the food. Form over substance. My daughter, vegetarian, ordered the mixed vegetable platter. Yes, intriguing presentation but after a few bites her rating was: boring. Ultimately just a plate of mixed steamed vegetables without any exciting sauce or other ingredient. I tried the sturgeon. Fish was fine but two days later I can't even recall what came with it. Same for the appetizers. Forgotten the moment we left the restaurant. Given the price tag, there are better places in Nashville.
