Knights Inn Nashville Downtown

I was with the girl who wrote the last review. It seems the manager that commented on it is just as confused as the prostitute. His story may be correct but they both have the wrong room number. We were on a road trip to explore some towns for the Thanksgiving holiday. Nashville was our first stop. Everything she wrote was true. Trust me...we have no need for prostitution. Just wanted a room to sleep in and hit the road again the following morning.

I think the manager's version of "satisfied customers" and our version are extremely different. Do not go here people. I had bad feeling about it even as we were checking in but this was our first time in Nashville so we didn't know anything about the neighborhoods. We do now. Right after this incident we immediately packed up and left. Bound for Florida.

Also, to the manager here, you'd think you'd deny this to improve your reputation. Instead you validated it by just giving reasons for it. Nice job. The only good thing about this hotel was that we made it out alive. Thinking about all the things that could have happened scare me.

We just wanted a clean and safe room for the night. We got neither. The hair in the bath tub and foot print in the bathroom were also true. If the manager decides to comment on this review do know that I am not disagreeing with your reasoning. Just stating that it was not our room that requested your "continental breakfast" or this form of satisfaction.

This place is situated in a not-so-nice neighborhood and as soon as we pulled in, we knew it was bad news. However, it's very close to downtown and is very cheap. I think our room was under $40.

Upon check-in, the manager asked us if we wanted 1 bed or 2 beds. We requested one, but when we found our room, there was indeed two full size beds. The set-up of the building is interesting and you have to walk to your room from the outside of the building....no way to just get there from the front entrance.

The room was very run down and the beds stiff and and uncomfortable. We removed the blankets and had to sleep fully clothed because it just didn't look clean. There was hair in the bathroom and dirty foot prints all over.

But the most interesting thing happened to us there in the middle of the night. My friend parked his car right by our window so we could keep an eye on it if we need to. Indeed, we needed to. Around 2 in the morning someone in the parking lot started to hunk their horn in a sequence, and they did it 2 or 3 times clearly giving someone a signal of some sort. We got up and looked out the window to find to African-American guys and a girl starring at us from outside. We then got a knock on the door. It was that girl. We told her she got the wrong room but she just kept on knocking. One of us stayed by the window to make sure the car was alright, as the two guys just stood there and stared at our window.
We called front desk and they sent someone over in a bit, but by that time those people were already gone.
Our guess was either they were trying to distract us and break into the car, or they were dealing drugs and in fact got the wrong door. In any case, not an experience I'd ever wish upong anyone who's just looking for a quite, safe night to spend in Nashville.

After the incident, we actually packed our stuff and left because we didn't feel safe going back to sleep.

Never again.

Room Tip: Don't do it:)

the lady that you refer to came with you to the hotel. You had a falling out with her and she wanted her belongings that were in your room. She kept on coming to the front desk saying you would not give her belongings. The front desk called you and sent security but because of your infighting you told us to get her of the property.we have a lot of satisfied guests that stay with us.James

The room was neat and clean. We slept good. It was decent and inexpensive, just what I was looking for. It wasn't as close to the downtown activities as I was expecting, but it's OK because we didn't go downtown anyway. The soap will dry your skin out. Overall stay was good.

The cleaning staff needs to be retrained. Overall the room was not clean and the bathroom was the worst. Dust, dirty and mold on the shower curtain. Had a soap wrapper placed behind the bathroom door that was still in the same spot after a three day stay.
