Stayed here for two nights on our Deep South tour. From the outside the hotel looks fine, but the moment you walk, in it felt cold dingy and dated. The guy on the desk was helpful and friendly in stark contrast to the woman who is on the desk miserable is being polite.

The room had a musky smell in it with peeling wallpaper and old fixings made this hotel feel stuck in the 70s. Was tempted to move hotel.

The breakfast was the worst, with overcrowding and unsufficient restocking of food. The limited choice was also an issue. Poor breakfast the worst we have had, so bad we missed it and went to McDonald's instead.

Location is good to the grand ole oprey, but honestly look around there is much better on offer.

This hotel was clean with nice rooms. It was right in the Opry district but far from downtown- about a 15 minute drive. The free hot breakfast was nice. Nothing extraordinary about it. Ok value for the price. Wifi did not work in our room

We stayed at the Best Western near Opryland Hotel for a conference. There were many plus', but also some minus'.
Plus':
Some of the desk people were very helpful and pleasant. One gal and one guy were friendly and outgoing. One in particular, although he answered questions, was not very personable. Nothing bad, just kind of nothing.
Gave a referral to an urgent care which turn out to be great and also took my insurance.
Room quite large.
Within walking distance of Opryland, Shoney's, Cracker Barrel, and Bob Evans. Close to Grand Ol' Opry and the General Jackson.
Lots of eating places nearby; restaurants and a mall.
Room and bathroom were clean, a big plus.
Immediate hot water.
Free parking.
Window opens, nice to have fresh air, especially the afternoon there was thunder and lightening.
Quiet, even while close to the freeway.
Not far from Nashville airport.

Minus':
While this isn't the hotel's fault, thought I'd bring it up - the people in the room next to us came in at 11:00 p.m. and took showers, three one after another. The sound was loud enough to wake us up. Please people, it is a hotel, be considerate of those in adjacent rooms.
The beds are all right, but not great. I could not get comfortable at all. Plus, the pillows were not supportive. Note to self, travel with own pillow.
The sofa was uncomfortable, like a very large person had spent a considerable time there, and the material felt odd.
The breakfast was mostly carbohydrates; waffle maker, cereal, pastries, yogurt. Fortunately there is a McDonald's nearby and their oatmeal is an acceptable alternative; plus Shoney's breakfast buffet was good.

Since the conference was pretty busy we did not get a chance to try the pool (looked pretty standard) or the workout room (somewhat small, which was probably sufficient as I never saw anyone in there).

I originally scheduled through September 14 at a very good rate. I extended by one night and the rate was almost double.

The hotel wasn't bad, though the breakfast was lacking. But the refusal to remove charges for the unused safe "for insurance reasons" infuriated me. I've never had a problem removing safe charges at any hotel. Just raise the price, but don't lie to me. If they will cheat me in this, do I have to watch to see if they will cheat me in other areas?

Very nice staff to work with. Very helpful in identifying places to go, attractions to see, and restaurants to go to. Fronts desk staff was always helpful with directions. Great location to other Nashville attractions. Easy on and off the freeway system. Hotel accommodations were great.
