Saw this on a tourist map of the Nashville area and were thoroughly surprised at what a hidden gem this is! At $9 - this is a bargain. The museum even has a play area for kids that allows them to touch and watch as their parents tour the museum. Very clever design and use of the old bread plant! The indoor parking was a bonus (great when you have dogs in the car)! Fantastic!!

What a find! Take the time to visit this place even if there are no car buffs in your group, totally fascinating!

This museum is big on unique and European cars that, for the most part, haven't been driven on American roads. There are a good number of micro cars, Russian cars, 3-wheel cars, and propeller-driven vehicles. There are also a plane and a glider in the collection. Out in the garage, there are military vehicles, a 1960 Ultra Van motor home, a fire truck, a tracked 1924 Citroen Autochenille that crossed the Sahara, and 2 or 3 European flat-bed tow trucks. Out back is a 194000lb U.S. military LARC landing craft, and the Fiat it crushed (you can look it up on YouTube). There are a handful of performance cars inside - a Steve Millen Nissan 300ZX race car, a Nissan LeMans Prototype race car, a CMC special edition Lancer Evo, a Renault Clio V6, a couple Renault Alpine GTA Turbos, an Indy car, and an MG Midget racer, to name a few. Fans of the show Top Gear will recognize the Peal P50 and Reliant Robin. Although you can see a lot of cars that are very rare in the U.S,, most are not very exciting. For this reason, I probably would no go out of my way to visit again. Seems to be family friendly - there is a children's area, and there was a guy doing balloon sculptures.

Hi Robert,

Thank you so much for your feedback about the museum!

I only want to add an addendum for others who may read your review that the children's area is always available but we do not usually have a balloon artist available-- this was something special we offered on Oct. 19, 2013 as part of our 10th Anniversary event.

Thank you again for your visit!

Rare , unusual , quirky and very interesting cars , trucks and motorcycles. Love the way they are exhibited - not fenced off , visitors can walk around each vehicle and get to see them from all angles in very clean , airy and pleasant surroundings. Visitors will see cars here that they cannot see anywhere else in the US or the world for that matter . Well done Lanes !

Jeff Lane's museum/workshop has been open for ten years, and he's collected some of the most unusual vehicles imaginable: rare, tiny, modified, fast, downright bizarre. There's a car so small that rather than have a reverse gear, there's a handle to pick it up and turn it around. There are cars that could not be used by anyone other than high-ranking Communist officials, cars driven by bicycle chains, or made entirely of wood, or of agricultural waste, or that have two wheels. Fast cars, chrome cars, a car with a bubble on top. Go see this.
