Description: West Tennessee's legendary whole-hog BBQ tradition is the cornerstone of Martin's Bar-B-Que Joint. The restaurants have been featured on the Food Network, Travel Channel, Cooking Channel, and The Today Show and in publications such as Bon Appetit, Esquire, Conde Nast Traveler, and Men's Journal. Pat Martin learned the art and craft of West Tennessee-style smoke and meat 25 years ago in the tiny town of Henderson, TN before making Nashville his home. It became a consuming passion that eventually led to a business when he opened the first Martin's Bar-B-Que Joint in October of 2006 in Nolensville, Tennessee - just south of Nashville. Today, there are four locations in the Nashville area, including the newest serving those seeking great BBQ in Downtown Nashville. We come in at 5 am, every day, seven days a week. From the sides to the sauces, everything is made from scratch every single day.

I have had the opportunity to visit Franklin BBQ in Austin Texas and Martin's is right there in the same class. The brisket is amazing and the pork was exceptional. Corn bread in a pancake style was also a treat. If you like great BBQ you need to visit this joint while your in Nashville!

Martin’s on Belmont Blvd and also the downtown location are extremely busy. Parking is very limited. Expect a wait in line. It’s not a peaceful experience. Seating is picnic-table style for the most part. You order the food, and it is promptly delivered to you by a server. Drinks are oddly ordered separately at the Belmont location. While it’s clean, this is a busy bbq joint, and dining here is no white table cloth experience. I think that the bbq is excellent, and the sides are good but not excellent (except for the fries, which are terrific). Martin’s is rapidly expanding; I understand that it will open a new location soon on Elliston Place, across from Rotier’s, near Vanderbilt, and I believe that Martin’s is involvd in the Hugh Baby’s locations on Charlotte Avenue and West End Avenue, which are good for what they are. Let’s hope that Martin’s won’t overexpand and will keep the quality up.

This brisket was wet and juicy with great fries and service. If you go to Nashville and don’t eat here, you are missing out on a terrific treat. And it’s near the convention center. Awesome!

loved the atmosphere! loved the food! Brisket was my favorite. I didn't understand why the line was so long. Finally went for an early lunch when you were at least waiting inside (yes, line will wrap around the block) and after getting our food I understood. Don't pass up the chance to eat here. The wait is worth it. Please come to Cincy!
