This hotel is rated at a 3 star *** but it should be rated as a 5 star *****. The historically restored interior was beautiful and the hotel staff were exceptionally nice and helpful. It was within walking distance to the downtown country music nightlife and major attraction areas. If you took a cab downtown it was only $5 to $10 but is was entirely reasonable to walk if you preferred. The free breakfast was delicious and the evening buffet was filling. You really didn't need to buy food while on vacation if you didn't want to because they really filled you up. While on vacation we now look specifically for Homewood Suite Hotels. Each one we have stayed at thus far have exceeded our expectations.

Room Tip: Enjoy the live country music downtown.

The Homewood Suites Nashville made our Nashville experience unforgettable. My partner and I travelled to Nashville for the CMA Festival 2011. The hotel was clean and well presented, as were the staff. Our room was excellent and had fantastic facilties, fridge, kitchen etc etc. The hotel is only around 5mins walk from the Honky Tonk bars and 30min walk from LP Field. The free breakfast every morning and free beer/wine on weeknights is an excellent touch and there was always plenty of everything for all the guest. We did have an issue with our room rates part way through our stay, but the staff fixed the issue within an hour, they were extremely efficent and helpfull. If you have the oppertunity I would highly recommend Homewood Suites Nashville.

This hotel was incredible! We went for CMAfest and chose this place because of location and the fact that all the rooms were suites with a small kitchen. We went to the store got some food and snacks and were able to cook dinner. Our expectatoins were exceeded everyday! The managers reception was great, breakfast was great, a newspaper at your door every morning and the friendliest staff I have ever encountered. The downside is all rooms have a king size bed but there is also a pull out sofabed, having four people in the room could be hard, but then again that isn't really what it is made for. I adore this place and will definetly stay again when I go back to Nashville!
Perfect location, clean rooms, great staff and a great price!

We stayed here for the Country Music Marathon weekend. I was a little worried staying here after reading previous reviews (about the inconvenient parking and homeless hanging around outside). While it was kind of a pain to walk the couple blocks back and forth to our car (we self-parked), it wasn't a deal breaker for us. We were never bothered by anyone hanging around outside either. With that said, the front desk staff were VERY helpful and courteous at this hotel! The full complimentary breakfast every morning was delicious and much appreciated too! Our room overall was decent. Most of the room was clean but the utensils in the kitchen were not clean at all. I don't think there is a pool or hot tub here either (which would have been nice after running 26.2 miles!) For a downtown hotel the price was right. This was our first trip to Nashville and we loved it there!

I stayed here at the end of a work trip in March. My fiance came to meet me and we stayed at this hotel downtown. For $159 a night, we were given a room over-looking a car in a parking garage, not given any water for being a rewards member, and parking is difficult. We also left something in our room and called to get it, the employee said he would get it out of the room and have it for us when we arrived back at the hotel. He never went to look, said the room hadn't been cleaned so it would be there. Long story short, a very expensive item was never recovered. When I called to discuss the issue with the general manager, we talked for about 10 seconds, the call was lost, and when I called back, it went to voice mail and i NEVER heard from him again. While I know we were the ones that left something in the room, their customer service was terrible. They basically told us 2 different stories and never once were able to discuss the issue with them. I have had many great experiences at other hotels in the area so will stay there in the future, not here.

We loved staying here! We were in Nashville for the weekend to see the city and listen to some music. It was so great to have a nice clean kitchen in the room with a full size fridge, dishwasher, and microwave. We went to the grocery store on the way to the hotel and got drinks and snacks--plenty of space in the fridge. The counters in the bathroom and kitchen were granite. The bed was so comfortable! The sofa folded out into a bed, so it was perfect for our son. There are extra linens in the closed for the sofa bed. The television can be rotated from the sofa to the bed or inbetween, so that was nice.

The breakfast and breakfast area were great! Hot waffles everyday along with other regular breakfast items--cereal, toast, muffins, fruit, yogurt, etc. Each day, they had two hot items that rotated. Things we saw were sausage, eggs, hashbrowns, biscuits, and ham. The business center/internet room is right off the breakfast area.

We also used the fitness center--nice and clean and convenient.

They had valet parking and garage parking. The garage parking is about 2 blocks away, but they will allow you to park in the valet area to unload luggage, groceries, people, etc. there. The location of the hotel was great. Once we parked the car, we walked everywhere.

The next time we go to Nashville, we will definitely stay here again.

The wife and I stayed here one night when we lost utilities to the storms. Great renovation of a historic office building. Although I must admit the layout on the main floor is a little confusing. Room was clean, spacious and up to date. Good size flat screen swivels to couch or bed, both of which were comfortable. Walking distance to any downtown location, but on a block that is relatively quiet after work hours.

After staying in most of Nashville's downtown hotels I don't think this is your best bet.

Room Tip: Windows open in suites overlooking Church St.
