Caney Fork has its own pond with six catfish, multiple mooseheads, a stuffed bear – like the great outdoors indoors I guess. It was cute & quaint and the kids loved pointing out different things they'd spotted. We start with pickle chips (kind of McDonalds pickles, with a light smattering of fine breadcrumbs and deep-fried) and ranch dressing, plus corn fritters (actually donuts with icing sugar and about two kernels of corn in them) which both kids absolutely love. Our family enjoyed meltingly tender ribs, a perfectly cooked steak with alligator popcorn, a catfish po’ boy and a grilled chicken sandwich. Service was excellent too!

We changed our original dinner plans when we saw this place just down the street from our hotel. Besides being close, it had a full parking lot. It turned out ot be a pretty good choice. We got there about 6:30 on a Sunday evening. We timed it about right as it became much busier shortly thereafter. Our table was right next to an indoor pond which had a small waterfall and some fish in it.

We started off by sharing an appetizer “Blazin' Bayou” Catfish Strips which came with a Creole dipping sauce. Good stuff.

My wife had the “Big Boy fish dinner" which came with two sides: campfire potatoes and steamed veggies. She drank sweet tea. I ordered the “Caney Fork Special Ribeye” which was described as being “marinated all day in chef Mike's special blend of juices, herbs & spices”; it was very tasty. My two sides: campfire potatoes (with carmelized onion) and “Ol Settlers” baked beans. Total damages: $52.00. We’d go back to this place.

The atmosphere is definitely interesting. There are stuffed animals of all kinds around the restaurant.

The food is reasonably priced for the large portion sizes. Lots of options to choose from. Male sure you stick around for dessert if you like s'mores. They bring out a mini fire to toast your own marshmallows right at your table. This was a highlight of they evening.

Our waitress, Kristen was super nice and attentive.

We have been in Nashville for 4 night and on our last night we were looking for barbecue. We decided to on Caney Fork because of their unique outdoor appeal. It was an excellent choice. Very unique, great food and a great waitress- Armeshia (plus a male trainee in tow). We had a great time and cannot say enough about the experience. I had ribs up the street at another well known barbecue place a few days earlier and can say that there was no comparison. Caney Fork rocks!

My wife and I decided to try out Caney's and we were glad we did. It was a casual, fun atmosphere. Live music was playing throughout our time there. The servers were friendly, food was out fast and the food was good. Prices reasonable. Enjoyed the large indoor pond. One side of restaurant was more of a bar area. The other side was casual dining and seemed to have more going on. We enjoyed our visit to Caney's very much.
