A rare and wonderful place to visit and enjoy great music. Sound quality is amazing. Kudos to Nashville for building this amazing hall. Not too many cities are building symphony halls like this anymore.

Schermerhorn Symphony Center (hereinafter "SSC") is Nashville's first dedicated home for its symphony orchestra.

Having moved here from Chicago in '03, and being a musician with perfect pitch, I was skeptical of numerous claims that SSC's main hall would have perfect acoustics. I was very pleasantly surprised to hear it for myself. Yes, a basic rectangular box CAN have great sound and appropriate reverb times. Very nicely done.

We weren't able to take in a concert but will definitely try to the next time we visit! Lovely new venue and location that seem perfect for the city.

The Schermerhorn Symphony Center has become a reality!

The Center is classically designed and absolutely beautiful. For the civic dedication, they had a pianist onstage playing while the crowd filed through. With no amplification, this was audible throughout the hall.

This building should be an asset to Nashville for years to come.

The main facade faces a plaza running from 3rd Ave., South to 4th Ave., South. The center's plaza provides a continual passage from the Gateway bridge, past the Center, to a public plaza also adjacent to the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Gaylord Entertainment Center. There is a beautiful garden, dedicated to Martha Rivers Ingram along the west side of the Schermerhorn Center.

Located downtown, the center does not provide parking but there are mulitple pay-lots available nearby.
