“Nice atmosphere, food could be better”
Reviewed August 21, 2013

We sat outside recently and enjoyed a leisurely dinner. Ordered the Seafood Platter as an appetizer--the shrimp was very good, other than that, the calamari and crab cakes were just ok. Between the four of us, we ordered a fish special, the short ribs, the salmon, and a hanger steak, and they were all suitable, but nothing to rave about. Our server was very friendly, she made the evening more enjoyable. We would return, but can't give it a glowing recommendation because the food was just ok.

“Huge Wine Selection”
Reviewed August 18, 2013

Indoor/Outdoor seating, airy and yet quiet dining. Ordered cheesecake to go, but it was wrong flavor when we got to the hotel. Management refunded our money, even tho we didn't ask. So many great wines to choose from.

“Not as good as expected”
Reviewed August 10, 2013

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel so we decided to try it. It is a mostly casual restaurant with a large menu ranging from steaks, to seafood to burgers, with a large wine list. Service was good although we waited a long time after being seated for the server to appear. The food was very disappointing. Pork chop was huge, dry and very smoky flavored. It was accompanied by a poor mac & cheese and a bland lump of spinach. Grilled salmon was better, but the vegetables were also bland and uninspired. We decided to try dessert which was ok, but nothing special. Disappointing overall -- we had expected something more unique. We alerted our hotel concierge about our disappointing dining experience. I've read in several publications that Nashville is on fire with many great new restaurants -- however the Sunset Grill is not among them.

“Lunch @ SunSet”
Reviewed July 22, 2013

Long anticipated lunch w/friend did not disappoint. The décor and atmosphere was perfect for talk time and the menu choices were varied and appealing. I opted for the 1/2 salad, bread and dip was nice aside. The glassware is bold and a good hold. Wish I'd been inclined for dessert.

Will definitely go again - it's in the locale I frequent and found quick easy parking on the side street.

Good news - check the website for details about the summer 1/2 price sale. Made my 1st visit worth the wait, hope to go again to double my pleasure at 1/2 the price.
