“Hit the spot”
Reviewed April 8, 2013 via mobile

Happened upon this location around 8 on a Friday night. Found out quickly that a party of 8 with children is not the best for finding dinner downtown by 2nd. After wondering around the area we noticed San Antonio Taco Co. Steak quesadilla, fish tacos, chips-salsa, cheese enchilada and two adult beverages for less than $20 and ready in 10 minutes. The crew cooking and putting the orders together were fun to chat with. Nice when people laugh and smile. Kids grabbed pizza next door. Inside was clean and with no loud music. Would definitely go back.
Enjoy

“Lots of Chips for the Price”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

I first heard about San Antonio Taco Co. (known to the locals as SATCO) from a songwriter named Gary Chapman. He bragged on SATCO's hot, fresh Mexican food.

Ordering:
The ordering system is great for those who like to order like Sally Albright (played by Meg Ryan in "When Harry Met Sally..."). Using a provided pencil, create your tacos, quesadillas, and more with your preferred toppings, extras, and sides.

I have never known anyone to get their order wrong through this system.

Food:
Hot and fresh. Free soft drink refills. Small salsa bar.

SATCO's food isn't anything spectacular. A foodie won't praise them for their fine interpretation of food from the southern peninsula of Mexico in the Chichzen Itza region." It's just consistent Mexican food interpreted by Americans.

The treat? Hand made flour tortillas ALWAYS.

Atmosphere:
The downtown restaurant is delightfully painted to look like an Ole West town. The dining room provides open seating for business lunches.

This is a fun atmosphere with friendly service. The menu is a bit daunting, but the food is excellent. Great variety and everything we tried was fresh and delicious.

“Night out in Nashville”
Reviewed March 25, 2013

Three of us chose this restaurant because it was in walking distance and because it was crowded. We figured that if it was crowded, it had to be good. It had an outside deck with tables for those who wanted to eat outdoors (it was a warm evening). Great music was playing. The line to order was long but it moved fast. Once our food was ordered, it did not take long for it to be filled. A wonderful waiter brought us our food. We were treated nice and with respect. The customers even answered our questions since this was our first time there.

If I ever go back to Nashville, I will eat at San Antonio Taco Co.again. Highly recommended.

“great tex mex in Nashville”
Reviewed March 23, 2013

Found this place on Music City Sites and Bites tour. Loved it so much we went back for lunch the next day. You pick what you want on your taco and they make it fresh while you wait. Really good fresh products and great flavor. Also LOVED the queso dip. Great value you wont be disappointed.
