A staple for over 60 years with a rich tradition in Southern home-style cooking, this place is a must if you are in town or just driving through on Highway 100.
Weekend lines can be very long, so definitely plan ahead to avoid waiting, but if you have to wait, it is well worth it! While waiting check out their country store for gifts (both edible and non-edible).
So what to eat (the easy answer is everything, but for this post here is what I recommend).
The biscuits are the best biscuits I've ever had and the homemade preserve is lip smackin' good. The fried chicken is so moist and tender that it falls off the bone and the ham is the perfect mix of salty and sweet. The mac and cheese, hashbrown casserole, and fried okra are great sides for any meal. If there, by chance, is room for dessert, the homemade apple cobbler is legit.

it'll make you wanna smack your momma! But, Don't! That's never a good idea!

However, visiting Loveless Café is a wonderful idea!!! :) We had almost a 2 hour wait but boy, was it worth it!! I had the bbq with mac & cheese and turnip greens...yummy!! My hubby went with a breakfast platter. It was all delicious. Everyone around us had dishes that looked amazing and I can't remember ever seeing so many happy faces in one restaurant. The wait didn't seem so long since there is so much to see and do on site. If you don't purchase anything else to take home with you make sure you buy some blackberry preserves. It is a must have to remind you of the amazing biscuits served at Loveless.

We got to the loveless at about 0800 and it was already packed out. We didn't have to queue, but as we left at about 0900 there were large queues forming. The biscuits really were amazing, our server was friendly, the prices we reasonable, and the little shop over the road was really cute. Definitely worth it if you have a car!

We were able to walk right in and get seated immediately. The menu doesn't look like anything special but then you get the biscuits and jams and oh my! The portions were HUGE and even my 3 teenage boys couldn't finish everything. The chicken fingers were the best I've ever had and words cannot describe the pimento cheese and fried green tomato biscuits. Awesome restaurant with so much history, excellent food and great prices. The only disappointment was they ran out of banana pudding. Can't wait to go back to Nashville!
