My wife and I have stopped here now three times. Granted all three times were weekend visits, but the wait....

The last time was in May of 2012. We planned to arrive for lunch ahead of the crowd - that didn’t happen. We got there at 11:10 and were told our wait would be “at least” an hour and a half. It was - plus ten minutes; we were seated at 12:50.

However once inside things happened much quicker. My wife ordered a typical American lunch - a cheeseburger, fries, slaw and lemonade. I got breakfast - country ham, scrambled eggs, grits and sweet tea. Of course we both enjoyed their hot biscuits and homemade jellies. $36.00.

I still recommend the place but have come to realize that once you have been there a time or two, it just isn't worth the wait.

Fried chicken and catfish, that is all I have to say! You are a fool if you don't get the banana pudding. You belly will say thank you.

Tried the Ham and biscuts the ham tasted like old pork the biscuts were hard. They have jelly on the tables that tastes so nasty - Not sure why people go there I guess to say they have been at a land mark in Nashville

We went on a Sunday. Waited 1.25 hours and it was worth it. The biscuits and Chicken were awesome as well as the friendly server.
Its a 20 min drive from dowtown Nashville but worth the hike.

I would recommend this resturant to anyone. EXCELLENT!
