“Small but enjoyable”

The museum is tiny and was not very crowded on Memorial Day. The staff is very friendly and accommadating. If you are a fan, it would be a must do.

“Well Done!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 27, 2013

My husband and I have been to Nashville numerous times and we were excited to visit this new museum. I want to say that the amount of items on display is perfect. I have been to LOTS of museums and sometimes when there is too much it is overwhelming and if there is too little, then you feel shorted. They have a nice balance of the personal items along with the music and film. I have to say that the "Ragged Old Flag" was a personal favorite! If you stop at the stone wall that was once the retaining wall at the lake house, you will see the "heart" shaped rock at the top that was in the Hurt video. BTW - by ending it with that video...I had tears. In case some of you don't know this, pay close attention to the details in the museum and don't pass up the film clips, that will open your eyes to the video so much more. Enjoy!

“Interesting, But Nothing Special”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 26, 2013

Whether or not this "museum" is worth the price depends on how big a fan you are of Johnny Cash. If you're a big fan, it would be a "must see" and well worth the time and cost. If you're not, its a little pricey and may not be worth the time. The museum has only been open since May 1st, and it kind of looks like someone found an empty wearhouse, put up some walls and put in some artifacts. The gift shot is small and was crowded on the day were were there. Make your plans based on your interest in Johnny Cash. If your not a big fan, save your money.

Thanks for visiting. The Johnny Cash Museum features one of the largest and most comprehensive collections on a single celebrity in the world. As far as your description of the infrastructure, we would politely disagree. We've received kudos from press reviewers around the world who have given tremendous kudos on the design and presentation. Former Vice President Al Gore, who visited this week said "I've been to museums all over the world and the Johnny Cash Museum is world class." We've puposely tried to provide an intimate setting to spotlight Johnny's life rather than focusing on the size of the building that houses it. We, and the majority of our guests appreciate that. Again, thanks for visiting.

“Johnny Cash Museum”

We were pleasantly surprised with how very well put together this museum was. Cool videos on large screens, lots of memorabilia, and pleasant hosts. Well worth your time if you're a fan of Mr. Cash! The fee was reasonable and this was head and shoulders above other country star museums in the area.
