I moved from New York four years ago and missed good sushi. Friends would recommend places but all disappointed me until Ninki moved in. The sushi is drop dead awesome. Super fresh fish gorgeously presented. Creative rolls like the Butterfly Roll made with sweet scallops and smoky bonito, and the Nashville Roll with eel, avocado and strawberries (yes, i know it sounds weird. trust me it's not!) are swoon-worthy. I brought another NY transplant here, and she agreed. No other sushi place in Nashville comes close! The place is usually hopping, so others have discovered it. You won't have to wait for a table though. It's quite large. I can't say I'm a fan of the dark, neon-y sports bar decor, but who cares when the food's so good?
