This motel is a very reasonably priced option close to the Grand Ole Opry. With Opry Mills and its food court only five minutes away, there's also a good meal option. Although the motel is an older one, it has been tastefully updated. The free breakfast menu changed every day with something for everyone and REAL silverware and dishes--no plastic or styrofoam--which added to the appeal of the breakfast. Easy to get around from there and downtown Nashville is about 15 minutes down the road. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

A great hotel to stay at, it's near the Grand Ole Opry, Opry Mills Mall, etc. Staff is very friendly as well as the other visitors to Nashville. The décor is a little dated, but rooms & foyer, breakfast room, etc. are kept clean.
Swimming pool is outdoors, so it's seasonal, but we were too busy to use it anyway.
Breakfast each morning is pretty good, room is not very big, but people are very friendly and don't mind sharing a space with you.
Very reliable shuttle service to downtown, it cost $10 per person (both ways included), we would go downtown in the afternoon and catch the last shuttle back home later at night. It runs early in the morning with last shuttle pick up at 12:30am (Sunday to Thursday) (Friday till 1:30, Saturdays till 2:30 am.) This a much easier way of transportation, you don't have to worry about parking and driving home especially if you are bar-hopping.
Be sure to tour the "Gaylord Hotel & Resort", it's a must see, other favorite visits were to the Grand Ole Opry, Ryman Auditorium, Bridgestone Arena and the many bars & stores on Broadway (the Stage, Tootsies, Honkey Tonk Central, they all had great music...some offer happy hour prices...). We didn't get to many of the other streets, or to the Country Music Hall of Fame so I guess we will have to go back for another holiday.
I found the wifii signal very good at any time I used the computer & if you needed to print something just do it at the hotel business centre, worked great.
While in Nashville we took the 3 hour drive(6 hours both ways) to Memphis to visit Graceland, it is amazing, if you don't visit on your first trip be sure to do at some point, it is worth the drive, or better yet go to Memphis and stay for a couple days, then head to Nashville.
The only reason I gave the rooms average rating was because of the décor, they are kept very clean though so no problem that way.
If you are looking for a hotel close to downtown then this isn't the area you want, the price is reasonable and if you compare the cost of the downtown hotels to the cost of shuttle service it's a great place to stay.

Room Tip: I don't think there really is a bad room choice ours was 311, it was near the elevator, and ice...

My Girlfriend and I go to Nashville at least twice a year. We love the different Music venues downtown. With the availabilities and rates that are offered downtown we opted to stay at the Country Inn & Suites near Opryland and take the shuttle or cab downtown. This hotel is so very relaxing, clean, affordable, and friendly. I believe this will be our first choice from here on.

Room Tip: Just request whether you want 1st, 2nd, or 3rd floor when making reservations. They will do their ve...

Conveniently located withing driving distance to the grand ole opry and opryland (You can walk but it's a 2-3 mile walk). Plenty of "free" parking.

Rooms are clean and well maintained. Breakfast in the morning is good and plenty. Pool outside is clean although I didn't see anyone in it when we visited.

Front desk was very helpful and the tour buses come by routinely.

Very good value for the money. You can stay at Opryland and pay a lot more or you can stay here and drive to Opryland and the Grand Ole Opry and save a bunch.

Service, food, staff, area, location, was great! There was four of us and they all enjoy there stay.. It was refreshing to eat off of real plates, and not plastic. The place was very inviting and would recommend it to friends and family. Stayed at 9 different hotels in 2 weeks and this was the best one.

The staff were very friendly and helpful when asked about tours. This was a great central location. Our king suite was clean and it very little noise from rooms next to ours. The King bed was comfortable, but the sofa pull out bed was uncomfortable (which most pull out beds are uncomfortable even the ones in our own homes). Would definitely stay again at this location. The cookies were excellent!
