Very clean, very quiet, excellent & wonderful staff! Great serve-yourself breakfast, shuttle available to downtown Nashville. Close to Opry Mills Mall and The Grand Old Opry. Couldn't really ask for much better than this.

Stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Nashville, nice quiet hotel and we stayed here only because rates were good although we spent all of our time downtown sightseeing. Too far of a distance from downtown to commute quickly but satisifed our needs.Right across from Opryland Hotel if you are interested in touring that hotel but we did not as that hotel charges $20 to park per day. Breakfast buffet was average offering cereals, breads, muffins, make your own waffles, fuit, hot food consisted of sausage, chicken patties and eggs. Gravy one morning which was very good. Staff was pleant. Overall good stay for the rate.

Room Tip: we were on the 3rd floor on a corner room by elevator and never heard any traffic in hallways even t...

stayed at country inn for 4 nights 3rd to 6th july it came second best to the music and night life but only just. This was our first vist to Nashville came with brother sister and partners. We had a great time. Could not fault the hotel great location, friendly and helpful staff, room well equipt and clean, good food. The best bit for me was returning from a night downtown on a fab shuttle bus walking in to reception grabing a free cookie and hot coco then sitting on the porch in a rocking chair chilling before bed. thank you for making our holiday great Mike Griffiths

Room Tip: choose room well away from ice machine

This location is great! It is located within 5 minutes of the Grand Ol Opry and about 15 minutes to downtown. Everything we wanted to see was easily accessible from where we were staying. We even walked to the Gaylord to look around. The rate was good compared to other hotels in the area, however the hotel is dated. From the outside, the hotel looks like others, but upon entering, you can see the lobby is outdated with the furnishings and carpet. We were pleasantly surprised when we went to our rooms to find them clean and decently furnished. The breakfast was typical, but a nice way to start our day off with. Make sure you get there fairly early as there is limited seating and you might find yourself eating in the lobby on the couch!
The staff was always friendly and efficient. Checking in/out was quick. I would stay here again basically because of the price and location.

Room Tip: If traveling in the summer, ask for a room facing the back of the hotel. The sun comes in around 5:3...

This property is quite dated and the smell of paint in our room was a good indication that they are trying to spruce this place up, room by room. The rooms are quite comfortable and bathrooms fuctional but quite cramped. The air conditioner was quite noisy (as they often are) and we had to turn it off while we slept.

Breakfast was included and is available until 9.30 during the week and 10.30 on weekends. The food is good with a variation each day of the hot food, and there is always fresh fruit and cereals available. They have real plates and cutlery instead of the throw away kind which makes breakfast more pleasant. The dining room is quite small however so it is hard to find a table at busy times. On one occasion we found ourselves sitting in the lobby eating from our laps.

The free WiFi is handy and a reasonable speed. The signal is not strong if you are at the back of the property, but you can easily connect to the Hyatt's WiFi next door and the speed is actually a bit faster.

The location is the best thing about this property. It's a five minute drive to Opry Mills and the Grand Ole Opry. It's very close to Briley Parkway so you can drive downtown in around twenty minutes or to the airport in around fifteen minutes. However, if you don't have a car, the options are a bit limited, although there is a shuttle bus to downtown for $10 return. There are several places to eat within a 5 to 10 minute walk (we recommend Sukho Thai - see separate review).

The staff here are very friendly and helpful with plenty of local knowledge and information.

One thing that they should think about is fitting automatic doors into the lobby. It's a real challenge getting through two sets of hinged doors with heavy luggage and there is no ramp to get up the step. That said, we discovered that there is a back door which is easier to negotiate with suitcases, so we would recommend that you check in and then drive round the back with your luggage and come in that way (there is an electric lock activated by your room key).

Overall we had a pleasant stay, we felt that we got what we payed for, and if we were in the area, we would consider staying here again.

Room Tip: Keep away from laundry room on ground floor. This also houses the ice machine and is very noisy.

This was a great location to stay while in Nashville. There was a shuttle to downtown Nashville and back every hour from 11:00 am to 12:30 am the next day for 10.00 round trip, can't beat it.
In the room 317 the air conditioning unit was missing the front console grille and the shower head was pulled out of the wall in room. The staff were helpful but at times distracted. The rate was high 120.60 plus 11.16 sales tax, 7.24 city tax, 2.50 occupancy tax for a total night for 141.50. the higher rate may have been due to the fact that there was a One Direction concert downtown at the Bridgestone Arena that night and the city was overwhelmed with parents and their teenage daughters. I would not stay there again, but stay at the Hampton Next door.

Stayed here while attending a convention at the Gaylord. Paid just over $110/nt. The location is fine if you want a cheaper place to go to the Opry and the Gaylord, but it is a very commercial area, all parking lots and touristy restaurants. The rooms are very dated but adequate, clean and functional. Their pay per view movies can't be accessed at any time, you have to watch them at certain times. This was a disappointment for me, because I love to settle down in the evening to a movie. And beware! I was watching a pg13 movie on a free channel, and when it was over it went straight into soft-core porn! The guy at the front desk was super nice. The breakfast is basically a lot of carbs, rehydrated scrambled eggs, and some kind of breakfast meat with limited fruit. Not very appealing, but it is free. Note: if you are walking to the Gaylord, once you cross the street to enter the property, keep going straight, don't turn right toward the lobby. You'll enter in the Magnolia wing and can access the whole place.

Dear Towniemel,

Thank you for your review of our hotel. I apologize if there has been a misunderstanding regarding the pay per view movies. We actually do not have a pay per view movie system here at the hotel. The pay per view channels you saw were actually part of the Direct TV Satellite programming and I'm sorry to say that there is no way for us to interface the Direct TV boxes in the rooms with the hotel billing software. The technology doesn't exist as of yet. We do, however, have several premium movie channels such as Encore and Starz movie channels. I am assuming that those may have been one of the channels you were watching when you saw the soft-core movie. We like to consider ourselves as a family hotel and I assure you that we would never provide that type of entertainment at the Country Inn & Suites Nashville/Opryland.

Again, I appreciate your candid review of our property and I hope to see you again when your travels bring you back through the area.

With our regards,
Country Inn & Suites Nashville / Opryland
