The best thing about this hotel is the location. This hotel puts you within walking distance of the Gaylord Opryland Hotel and Opry Mills Mall. The breakfast items were below average and we only ate there 1 morning of our 4 days in Nashville. The bathroom fixtures were in poor repair with mold visible on the grout around the shower and tub. The most shocking experience of our stay was when we arrived back to the hotel after midnight to find a dog locked in a parked car near the front entrance. The hotel has a no pet policy, so we thought maybe a hotel guest had left their dog in their car. Temperatures in Nashville were in the upper 90's during the day and it was not much cooler at night and the dog was panting heavily with the car windows partially open. I wrote down the license plate number and walked inside to notify Tim, the night auditor, about the dog only to find out that Tim IS the owner of the dog! Once I notified him of the dog's condition, he did walk out to the car to check on the dog and get it some fresh air. I asked for the general manager the next morning at checkout to report my concerns, but was advised the GM was unavailable and they would give him the message. I can only hope the GM will make sure his employees no longer continue the practice of leaving their animals in their cars during working hours.
