I LOVE the downtown library; I'm profoundly and very actively grateful for it. Fantastic depth and breadth to the collection and a beautiful space filled with light. One may even buy lunch at the conveniently located Provence next door and carry it to the library's courtyard while listening to the strains of a lunchtime concert. In addition to the treasure of myriad books with staff meticulously recommending choices in addition to prominent displays of the latest new books, fascinating exhibits are displayed that teach much about Nashville and its history and beauty. The downtown library is the loveliest building and is home to the most comprehensive collection but all of Nashville's branch libraries are fantastic and books are quickly delivered to the location most convenient for the library cardholder. Branches have wonderful programs too - children's hours with puppet shows, seminars and town hall meetings, exhibits... We're blessed indeed to have a library system of this caliber in Nashville.
