I love the smell of a library. This library is great for research or just spending time in my favorite subjects. They validate parking and have a great helpful staff to help you find what you are looking for. It is very neat, clean and appealing.

This gem is only 10-15 years old and designed to match it's history. They offer great programs for kids and adults, and it has served as a place to record personal history through Story Corps. The parking is also an advantage because you enter an adjoining garage where you park for free if you get your ticket stamped at checkout.

Even if you aren't a member the architecture alone is worth a visit. The grand stairways and doorways are just beautiful and a surprise for Nashville. The interior is more like something one would see in a much larger city.

Forget what you think you know about public libraries. This is an exquisite jewel that will impress you the second you walk in the door. The building looks and feels like a fine museum and the artwork is classy. Even if you don't have a library card, you can use the many public computers for free and of course you can sit and browse through books and magazines and newspapers in comfy plush chairs or sit at a table and open up your laptop.

Hungry- they have you covered. You can even get a meal here. Even if you don't usually visit libraries on trips, do make an exception for this one.

The children's area is extensive and good. They have really good marionette puppet shows.
