We stayed at the Wyndham (3 couples) and found the take out menu in the hotel book. Inexpensive and they made deliveries. We were told 45 minutes when we called. It took an hour, which was ok with us, but just be aware. It was odd packaging to begin with in flimsy styrofoam. Only the rice came in traditional boxes. We had a wide variety of food ordered. Sweet and sour sauce was very bland and came with the sauce in one dish and very dry little nuggets of pork in another. Swechwan beef was not too bad and at least had some vegetables. Egg rolls were greasy and had poor filling. Pork fried rice was best. We would have ordered elsewhere if we had known.

I work at a local hotel and tend to reccomend anywhere other than New China for chinese delivery. In my opinion the food quality has always been sub-par but the delivery drivers are even worse! When they have delivered food to my hotel they appear dirty, un-showered and rude. I have even witnessed a driver CLIPPING HIS FINGER NAILS in the car while deliverying food (while parked at the front door of an internationally known hotel chain). Recently while on our local news website this restaurant was listed as the worst score in 3 months. EAT IF YOU DARE

Often sweet and sour pork is over-fried. This was perfect and delicious. The portion size more than adequate.

This is strip-mall Chinese, which is prevalent around Nashville. If you work near the airport or stay in a hotel in the area, it's a quick, cheap, and tasty option. You'll definitely want to get it to go as the 6 tables have a greasy feel to them and the dining area isn't well separated from the kitchen or stockroom. Atmosphere is a 1. Local delivery is available for orders over $10.

I'll often stop in or call ahead and get lunch to-go when I'm in a time crunch. The restaurant also offers an online ordering feature that's pretty handy (www.newchinanashville.com), though they sometimes miss your special instructions. It helps to put them in ALL CAPS and repeat them once or twice.

A lot of the "unhealthy" aspects to Chinese cooking lies in the sauce, and New China does a good job of not drowning its food in sauce. The Moo Goo Gai Pan (chicken with mixed vegetables in a white sauce) can be a little salty if you're sensitive to salt, but if you pair it with steamed white rice it's as close to healthy as you can get. Most every dish (except noodle dishes) comes with fried rice unless you specify white rice.

Egg rolls and the hot-and-sour soup are adequate.

Health scores can vary at New China, with the latest as of this writing being a 89 (after a follow-up inspection of a 79). I've never experienced a problem with my food, however.

There are nicer Chinese restaurants with table and buffet service in the area. For cheap and quick, New China might be the better option.
