“Anniversary week-end trip”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 11, 2013

We had stayed here about 1 1/2 years ago so knew we liked the hotel. The room was really nice and the food was excellent. Did not know or remember it being pet friendly. Heard a dog barking when we first arrived and were not going to be pleased if we would have to listen to that all night, but after a minute or so we didn't hear it anymore. Did not smell anything animal related either so that was nice. If I had any complaint it would be with the bed pillows. Loved that there were 5 but had to keep readjusting them because they mashed down so much. Swam in the pool and got in the hot tub. All in all had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend this and any Drury to family and friends. Can't beat the price and the food. It is also near the airport so we did hear some planes but after I went to sleep they didn't wake me.

Drury is one of our favorite chain hotels and we always seek them out if possible. We have never been disappointed with one yet. We had a 2-room suite (we prefer those to a regular room, to have a little more room to relax in) and I like how Drury separates the living room from the bedroom with an actual door. So many hotel chains say they have suites but in reality they are just an oversized room with a partial divider, no real privacy between the bedroom and living room. We were in room 517 on the 5th floor and had a living room with couch, easy chair, desk and chair, TV, refrigerator and microwave. The bedroom had 2 beds and a second TV. The bathroom was split, which is how I prefer them instead of being all in one room. The sink area was outside the room with the toilet and tub/shower. The only bad part was the raised strip of flooring between the two areas, this could definitely trip someone. I think it should just be flat. The room was nicely decorated and no visible wear and tear on the furnishings, and was very clean. From 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. each evening they have what they call their "kick back" supper in the breakfast area. We always enjoy this, and it always seems to be very popular with everyone. They offer different things each night and that night they had: meatballs, penne pasta with marinara sauce, hot dogs, baked potatoes with butter and sour cream, tossed salad, broccoli and cheese soup, nachos with cheese and salsa, carrots with Ranch dip and potato chips. They also have free alcoholic drinks, 3 per adult, with quite a variety of drinks to choose from. They have unlimited soda as well, and popcorn available from 3 - 10 p.m. I use ear plugs when I sleep in hotels, so can't comment on hallway noise or airplane noise either. We always enjoy Drury's breakfast, and they offered: scrambled eggs with diced ham, breakfast potatoes, sausage patties, biscuits with gravy, yogurt, oatmeal, make-your-own waffles, toast, bagels and pastries along with orange and apple juices and coffee. We made use of the free WiFi in the room and enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

We actually stayed at this hotel once a month for over a year due to my husband's military service requiring we stay there. The "free" buffet is weiners, mac & cheese, and chili. It is not tasty. The 2 free drinks are watery. Front desk service is usually good, however, almost each visit we had an incident with one of the male employees, who was always rude and never smiled. He even yelled at our 10 yr old daughter in the pool area. It is pet friendly, however, guests would ignore the pet rules and leave their pets unattended in the rooms for hours, prompting them to bark at late night hours, etc. The hotel did not do a thorough job of checking which guests were bringing pets.

I had three rooms, we took our daughter and sons family with us. The rooms were nice and big, very clean and very well maintained. Every person who worked there was very nice.

We ended up eating our supper there even after having reservations somewhere else, they had free snacks which included pasta, hot dogs and other food that are put out at 530 pm. The next morning we got up for the breakfast buffet and is was again great.

We really enjoyed the pool also.

Nothing bad to say about this motel.

We stayed here on 2/9/13. We called on Friday night to see if they had rooms. They got us 3 rooms for that Saturday night. The girl on the phone was excellent. The rates were very reasonable, and when we told her we were going to Vanderbilt to visit a family member, they took $15 off each room.
The rooms were very clean and spacious. The beds were very comfortable. We did not get to enjoy the happy hour in the lobby, for obvious reasons.
We did however get to eat the free breakfast in the morning. Needless to say, it was your common hotel breakfast. BUT, it was one of the best free breakfast we have ever had. The food was fresh and warm/cold and actually tasted good. The staff was very attentive. Everything was kept clean and refreshed. The hotel manager was even working the area. Cleaning tables, talking to guest.
The hotel is about 9-10 miles from the hospital and takes about 15 minutes ti get there. We highly recomend the drury.
And this was the 1st time we had stayed at a Drury. Needless to say, the nexy time we travel, we will look for a Drury!!!
The onlydownside was the noise. The foyer and bathrooms were all tiled. No carpet to dampen the noise. We heard my wifes brother in the bathroom in the room next to us. Not the greatest thing to hear at 530am. :)

This hotel is very nice and clean. If you are looking for just a nice clean no frills hotel, then I would highly recomend this property. Breakfast is included in the room price and also a modest supper. I would definetly stay here again.

I love Drury hotels and this one was wonderful. The staff was attentive especially the manager at breakfast and happy hour. The freebies are great. I loved being able to grab a drink when returning to the hotel in the afternoon. The only complaint I have and it really isn't one is that the room didn't get cleaned until late in the day. When I go back to Nashville, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
