“Good stay for the price!”

We stayed here during CMA Fest '07. For the price this was a very nice hotel. If you are looking for a 5 star hotel this isn't your place. But if you are looking for a hotel that fits your budget this is your place. Something had happened with a water pipe busting downstairs and the carpet was soaked and they had fans blowing on it...lucky for us we weren't staying near the problem. The staff was very friendly and helpful, we asked for directions to the Blue Bird Cafe and they were quick to print them out for us and tell us about the area we were going too. We had a very clean room and nice bathroom. The location was decent, it was a short drive to downtown from the interstate. I could tell it wasnt the best part of Nashville, but we had no issues with it. We would stay again.

The pool was closed for renovations, which we did not know until we arrived. Sign on the lobby counter stated if you cancel due to pool closure you would be charged one nights stay as a cancelation fee "the Management". We felt that was a very POOR way to treat customers. The room was not clean - we found 2 dog bones/rawhides on the floor and the comforter was very stained. The carpet was frayed and wall repairs in the bathroom were not professional. The front desk staff upon arrival was not friendly nor very attentive (always in the back room and seemed to be annoyed when she had to help us). On the bright side, the location was very convenient, breakfast was acceptable (normal continental) and I believe the whole hotel is supposed to be remodeled in the future.

We sincerely apologize for your experience at our hotel. The property is under new management and our pool has since been renovated and is open throughout the warmer season. We have tremendously stepped up our housekeeping service and continually inspect room cleanliness on a routinely basis. Please don’t let the attitude of one individual staff member reflect our property, our customer service had significantly improved and is now one of the main reasons customers continue to stay with us. The breakfast has also significantly improved; we upgraded from the standard continental and now offer hot waffles, sausage, gravy, eggs, yogurt, different juices, oatmeal, 24 hr coffee, etc. Again we are sorry for your experience and really hope you consider staying with us in the future.

This hotel had issues, but it appeares that they are trying to fix them. When looking up Nashville hotels, I did what you are doing right now, reading the reviews. The reviews are not very hot for this hotel, but I tried to keep an open mind, as they are just other's opinions. We were only traveling through and would spend one night in the hotel and figured if it was bad, It would only be one night. I wish I would have believed the reviews because that hotel's reviews proved true. The rooms were small and had a terrible smell. If you have been down to a flooded basement and smelled it, that is what this hotel smelt like. I don't understand why because we were not in a basement, but on the third floor. I am sure the room was clean, but with the overpowering smell of must and mold, it didn't percieve clean at all. The bathroom was a out of date and a little dinged up from many years of use. If I had to imagine a bathroom from ABC's hit television series, "The Brady Bunch", that is what it would have looked like. We had reserved a rollaway bed and it was not in the room. The staff brough one up that looked like it was from circa 1970. It barely fit into the smaller than advertised room. In the end, it was a hotel that was 25 years overdue for renovation. The hotel was not in a very nice area of town. It was even a bit on the scary side as you are traveling down the dark road it sits on. On the other hand though, the staff was very friendly. We brought our dog, hence not staying at a nice hotel, and the staff was very welcoming of our 20 pound cockapoo. The hotel is undergoing a slow renovation project that has the pool closed. It is definitely in need for one. In conclusion, I made it through the night. Was it bad, yes. Could it have been worse, yes. It depends on what you are looking for. If you are fine with a bad smell, dark narrow hallways, and an outdated hotel room, go for the hotel. If you are not, perhaps choose another.

Thank you for posting an honest review, we like to get feedback so we know where improvements can be made. Since your last visit we have made tremendous changes to our property. There is no longer a bad smell and our room cleanliness has vastly improved, thanks to new management. We are still a pet friendly hotel and we are glad you found this convenient. As for the area around the property, we are fully enclosed by a fence and have implemented a high-tech security system and also have the Nashville metro police circle the property throughout the night, also we have interior corridors that provide a high level of safety in comparison to outdoor properties in the area. We are glad you enjoyed our staff and our customer service has since improved even further. We hope that you have the chance to stop by and stay with us again in the future.

There July 8th..area scary -- run down area, but hotel does sit back off the road a bit. Entire 5th floor closed for renovations--- and the pool also, even though when I made my reservation I asked if the pool wopuld be in use--- their response "whoops". Asked for extra pillows-- told that there were none and when asked if one could be taken out of a closed room response was " the manager told me I couldn't" When Manager qestioned in the morning response was she --the manager--never told her that and she --night clerk never talked to the manager. Never apologized or made any other gestures-- even with a 100% guarentee of satisfaction-- Glad when we went back to Nashville at the end of the trip we had another hotel for that stay-- One night was more then enough

Based on other reviews and much searching I booked our week's stay in Nashville, TN at the Comfort Inn in Music Valley. The room was clean, the service very good and the room rate was a good value. The hotel is conveniently located to downtown, the Opry, the airport, and the main thoroughfares.

I was a little nervous at first reading the reviews, but had a pleasant stay. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. They provide free breakfast including biscuits and gravy, waffles, cereal, pastries, fruit, juice, coffee, tea, hot chocolate.
There are renovations going on, but didn't disrupt our stay at all.
We didn't venture out at night, other than taking a cab or tour, but I felt safe in the area. There are a few restaurants nearby, but we didn't eat at any. The room was clean, the beds comfortable and the price is right. To get downtown, was about $15 cab fare. We were attending the CMA Music Fest, so the hotel was a bit inconvienent for that, as it was a bit too far out, but overall, I was happy with the stay.

When we arrived the hotel was being renovated. They had the hallway closed from the front desk to the elevator so every time we needed to go to the front desk we had to walk outside and the neighborhood is a little scary. Also the first night we were there we had to do this 4 times b/c they kept giving us keys that would not work. Next, when I made the reservations I asked if the pool was open and was told yes. When we got there it was closed and the manager said that I must have been talking to a different hotel b/c no one on his staff would have told me it was open. Our room was very dusty and smelled a little like mildew. The waffles made my husband and mother's stomachs turn. They said they tasted very sour. When I complained about all the problems the manager told me that the owner wanted everything this way and he that he could do nothing about it and he walked off. One day we came back to the hotel and our door was wide open, our bed was made and we had 1 clean towel so the maid must have left it open. I would never stay here again, but if for some reason you decide to bring your own towels because they do not have enough for everyone.
