Here for a medical conference and very disappointed in this hotel. At check-in clerk claimed hotel completely booked, but that they had lalready "upgraded" us to a twin bed "suite" to make up for not having the king-bed we had already booked, confirmed and paid for. This "suite" was nothing but an ajoining room with a sofa & small dining table we neither wanted or needed. It reeked of that horribly scented spray used to mask the smell of years worth of stale cigarette smoke. The room faced the atrium where an awards dinner was taking place and the noise was deafening. My husband called the front desk and told them we would not accept the room as it would be impossible to sleep under such circumstances. The manager apologized and said she'd move us to a "better" room with a "King" size bed (having no available King beds was obviously a lie). The only positive things I can say about the next room is that it was clean and didn't stink as bad as the first one, but the noise level was still outrageous. The walls are paper-thin and the gap at the bottom of the door lets in both light and the sound booming from the activity in the atrium. We discovered that ALL the rooms face this atrium except for those you must go outside to access. I'm sure those are no less noisy since they face the back of the hotel and are subject to all the road noise plus are subjected to the weather. We traveled a great distance to attend an expensive, prepaid, non-refundable medical conference, therefore leaving wasn't an acceptable option to us. Communicating our vehement dislike for these accommodations will be shared with those responsible for the conference. It is difficult to imagine why anyone would book a conference of any type in a hotel that cannot provide an environment for attendees to get a descent night sleep. In summary, this is an old, poorly constructed, outdated hotel/motel that is on the "seedy" side. However, it's the noise factor that we find truly the most egregious.

Room Tip: Don't accept a room you find offensive or inadequate because they claim to be "all booked u...

Our 35 Anniversary...checked into substandard room at The Inn At Opryland (ie small, bed skirt torn, musty smell, hard bed, etc.) and immediately checked out. Though a Marriott Hotel, did not resemble the quality property carrying the Marriott brand! After checking out, every room in Nashville was booked. We had to go 15 miles out of town to find a room, wasted 1st day and room cost more per night. Poor form Marriott on what was intended to be a special day

Sure it doesn't compare to staying at the Resort but it is a lot cheaper and the rooms were very nice and comfy! Indoor pool and hot tub was very nice, except that they closed it the pool on Sunday at 7 pm and that wasn't cool since we were on our spring break vacation with the kids! They do offer shuttle service free of charge to go to the Opry Mills Mall, the Resort and the Grand Ole Opry. would definitely stay here again when visiting Nashville.

Awakened to lobby noise at 5:30 a.m. It is now 10:00 a.m. and it has been constant noise. Who's bright idea was it to design a hotel with rooms facing the lobby atrium!?!?! I have to work a red eye flight tonight and this is NOT the hotel for daytime rest.

Well you pay a premium price for little in the way of comforts. Pool? Yeah, can't use it after 7PM during the week, that is so convenient. Hot tub isn't, but then there really is no time to try and enjoy it since it was cold and you have to be out by 7PM-just like the pool. Booked and paid more than the walk ins ahead of us, all to get put in a handicapped room. No other amenities to speak of, very disappointed and would never tell anybody to stay here unless you had to sleep on the street. Staff was fine, it's the management that sucks. And to think this is part of the Gaylord, sad really. Lots of hotels near here (a block away) that are wayyyyyyy cheaper.

Attended an convention held at this hotel. Friendly staff, good service, plenty of local eateries and sites to visit and see. The staff at the eatery in the hotel are also performers. As the song once said there were "Yeah, there's thirteen hundred and fifty two Guitar cases in Nashville
And any one that unpacks his guitar could play Twice as better than I will" and it made for a pleasantly entertaining meal.

This was a terrible trip. There is nothing that feels comfortable or safe about the outside rooms which you access from the inside. Especially not those on the back side of the hotel, unless of course your like to hear tour buses. One particular waitress seemed to have a problem waiting of tables, if she did not care for the customer seated there (interpret this how you wish). There is supposed to be shuttle bus transportation to the sister problem Gaylord Opryland and Opry Mills Mall, all I can say about the transportation is -EPIC FAIL.

The management staff do go the extra mile to make things right; however, if they tightened the ship, it wouldn't be necessary.

Room Tip: Stay away from the outside rooms at all costs.
