I know people who love this place -- the decor is decent, as is the pizza crust -- but it really caters to the Belmont set. With one exception, the staff are all young and just too cool to smile. The bar is ridiculously limited, and the bartender did not know how to make a ($10!) cosmopolitan. The server explained their gimmick of not serving the pizza sliced as due to "the high moisture content of the cheese" making the crust less crispy. HA! I don't care how moist the mozzarella is, there was so little of it there, it wouldn't have affected anything. And the tomato sauce -- more like tomato juice -- ran all over our plates, not to mention soaking the crust. NOT GOOD. As others have said here, all this is over-priced, too. We will not be making a return visit to non-bella napoli.
