Just a fun meet the people spot. Great food and fair prices. Went on a Saturday and had a short wait in line. Not a problem. Food comes our hot and fast. A great place if you want good food and a real feel for the town and people of Nashville.

First let me say if you are looking for a chic little spot go elsewhere, but if you are an honest to goodness burger lover you must go here.

I ate at Gabby's twice in one weekend during a recent visit to Nashville. This place is great! Small, not much room to move around. But the food is fantastic! Sometimes the line is out the door, and it is totally worth the wait. First time I had the BBQ burger with sweet potato fries; second time I had the chili-burger with the sweet potato fries. Couldn't pick a favorite because they were both delicious! And the sweet potato fries are to die for!! Not shoestring-style fries; but thick cut. Yum!

What a find after visiting Fort Negley. They have a variety of healthy burgers. Don't wait for a waitress because they don't have one. Put your order in and wait to be called. They serve the best sweet potato fries that I have ever had. They are open until 2:30 PM.

Burgers and fries, that's it. Probably Nashville's best burger and one of the best I have encountered, ever. Small, sometimes crowded, can be a little loud, just relax, embrace the vibe, and eat. Interesting stuff nearby includes the Nashville Sounds' stadium (they're moving in 2015 but for this season it's right across the street), a Civil War park and information center right next to the stadium, and Grimey's record store/bookstore/coffee shop combination a few blocks south on nearby 8th Avenue. Just off the south edge of downtown and well worth the cab ride from your convention or business meeting.
