We spent 3 days in the Nashville area and there are tons of things to see and do. We spend about 4 hours in the downtown area and there are 15-20 shops that are worth the time to visit, especially if you are a country music fan. Lots of restaurants. We were here about 5 years ago and nothing had changed but we enjoyed doing it again and will do the tour downtown again the next visit. The only problem we had was the cost of parking, there seems to be small parking lots everywhere there was a vacant lot that had self pay parking. The first day you could get 1 1/2 hours for $8.00 but the next day that option was not available at the same parking lot and the shortest period was 4 hours which cost $15.00. These prices kind of put a damper on the visit. We saw several parking decks but all were full. I assumed these were city owned parking lots.
