This city if clean, friendly and fun. It was fun to just walk around the town and experience the food and atmosphere. Its like George St in St John`s Newfoundland and Bar Harbour Maine. Lots of food , entertainment and shopping for Country boots! Live talented performers in every bar that spred out onto the street. Many famous bars that great Country stars have played in and become famous, Great musicians in Music city that played for tips.Attractions to see within walking distance.

A fun place... so much going on... so many places to see... so many places to eat... We enjoyed walking around downtown very much. Be warned, though, that there are homeless people all around who are asking for money. There was an adequate amount of police presence in the area so we felt fairly safe.

Downtown Nashville is the prime spot for country music, restaurants, bars, and all manner of entertainment within walking distance. Bridgestone Arena, the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Symphony, LP Field, and the many bars and restaurants of Broadway and 2nd St. make Nashville an exciting place to experience. But do us all a favor, and leave the kids with a babysitter after 9pm. Strollers further clog the already busy sidewalks.

Most bars were free to get in (no cover) so it was fun to go in/out of many to listen to a variety of artists. Some so good, wouldn't be surprised if they become famous someday.

We stayed out by music row at Vanderbilt thinking this was the party scene. We realized after riding around before it got dark that the Music row was recording studio area and all the bar and restaurants are downtown. It was still only a 8.00 cab ride and we ate at the Wild Horse Saloon. They had a house band while we ate and in between band breaks they line danced, so this was a fun place. I have to recommend the Monte Cristo sandwich. It was the best!
