We came to Nashville for a long weekend getaway. No reservations so we were fortunate to get the last room. The staff were very friendly and rooms were clean and nicely decorated. The location is further from the attractions then they let on, however we used their complimentary shuttle service and it was fantastic. The drivers were polite, puntual and we used them all weekend to get every where we wanted to go. We had originally booked the room for 3 nights and decided to leave earlier than anticipated. The front desk was very accomendating and didn't give us any issues or charge us for leaving early. We look forward to returning and will stay here again.

Stayed here for a long Thurs-Sun weekend. Wanted to stay downtown, but the prices were too high, so we stayed here. After this experience, I don't know any reason to spend the extra $70 or so per night to stay downtown!
From the second we walked in the door the staff was amazingly friendly. Everyone says "Hello" and asks how you're doing. The room was spacious and clean. The hotel runs a free shuttle anywhere you want to go within a 2-3 mi. radius, which includes downtown, Country Music Hall of Fame, etc., and 21st Ave. nearby which has a lot of great restaurants and shops. We shuttled to 21st Ave. the first morning for brunch at the Pancake Pantry, but walked back through Vanderbilt and walked to brunch everyday after, detouring through Music Row on one day. Not a bad walk at all.
Only bad points: Parking is expensive ($22 for self park, $25 for valet). No reason to valet though, all the same garage. The gym and pool area near the elevators smelled a little funky while we were there. And loud people in the hall during late night hours are able to be heard in the room, but not any more than any other hotel.
I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

timp3000,

It looks like someone had a fun trip to Nashville! I'm glad we could be a part of it. From the sounds of it you really were able to experience Nashville while utilizing our services. Our staff truly is friendly, hospitable, and always looking to help from the front desk, to housekeeping, to the shuttle service. Thank you for your kind words. I cannot wait to share them! We all hope to see you again real soon!

Beautiful facility, close to the Nashville experience. Enjoyed our room and the pool. Service was wonderful. Check in staff need to be alert when pre-registration of a service animal is done and not embarrass the customers upon arrival.

James M,

Thank you for sharing your experience with us! We truly do take pride in the service we provide to our guest and it's ALWAYS nice to see that our efforts are received by our guests. In regards to the service animal I am very sorry for the misunderstanding. To be honest we have recently switched to being a pet friendly hotel and are still transitioning from having not only service animals, but all four legged friends. I hope to see you again in the near future! Thanks again!

Great hotel. Nice beds, rooms are always clean. Staff is unbelievably nice, everyone that we encountered had a smile on their face. Great breakfast bar, well worth the 11.00 to get a full breakfast, with cooked to order omelets and waffles rather than a crappy continental buffet. We have to go to Vanderbilt Hospital for my husbands Dr.s appointments every 3 months. Staying so close to Vanderbilt is awesome! They always give us the medical rate, which is very much appreciated. I really don't think we will ever look beyond a HGI again. For the money...you just can't beat it. Also, great access to many great restaurants. Our favorite is Flemmings, and just right outside the restaurant is the Vandy bookstore, very large selection, and a Starbucks...makes for a nice evening if you aren't wanting to go down to the bars on Broadway. As far as the parking price goes...you aren't going to find it any cheaper and it is a very nice secure garage with the valet attendants constantly going back and forth...I am sure they keep an eye on the place....again, well worth it. We love the indoor pool area, and the workout room is better than any I have seen. Very nice bartender for afternoon cocktails. Can't say enough good things!

Had eight girlfriends stay recently for a bachelorette party. We have previously stayed closer to downtown Nashville. Rooms were great. Everything was clean and functioned properly. The beds were nice... they were Sleep Number beds, which is great since each side can control their comfort level... an added bonus of that type of bed is that when one person rolls over, it doesn't shake the whole bed! :)
Front desk was super helpful and nice... especially Benen and Monti. They were always friendly. The valets were nice as well. They helped us with directions and were quick to retrieve our cars. It's $25 per diem to valet, but I found that comparable to other hotels.
The shuttle was the only part that was a little frustrating. We were accustomed to a shuttle that ran every five minutes or so when we stayed closer to town. This one was every 20 minutes it seemed (probably because we were further away this time), but it was large enough to hold our entire party and then some. We took cabs if we couldn't get the shuttle in a decent amount of time, so it worked out, but we would've preferred the shuttle.
The best thing about this place is that they have mini-fridges in each room. This was great. We could stock up on drinks and store leftovers in the fridge too. It was perfect.
Overall a great stay and I would recommend it to friends. I would be open to staying there again. We never had a problem with rowdy guests or anything and all rooms seemed convenient to the elevator and ice machines.

Room Tip: We didn't have a great view, but I'm not sure there really is one. We were there to party so it didn't really matter anyway.

auchtman,

Thank you so much for the review! I'm thrilled to know that you enjoyed your trip to Nashville all around. It sounded like you and your friends had an exciting trip! The staff really does not only try to offer the best service, but genuinely cares about the experience of our guests. Manti and Benen are great examples of the service we look to provide. Typically the shuttle wait time is no longer than 15 minutes. As you noted, however, during high peak traffic times the shuttle can get caught in this fun Nashville traffic. I do hope you stay with us again! Thank you again for your great review and kind words. :)
