“Superb hotel near Vanderbilt campus”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2013

We were here for the Ole Miss/ Vanderbilt game and this hotel was convenient and well above average. We stayed in a suite which was modern, appealing, comfortable, and the hotel staff were just great. The bar is fun,1808 is very good, and really,we couldn't have enjoyed it more. Its the newly refurbished Connaught of Nashville-how's that for name dropping!

Football weekends are a great time of year at the Hutton. The hotel has a different energy level when the passionate fans of the SEC come to play Vanderbilt.

Congratulations to Ole Miss on a hard fought victory!

Warm regards,
Steven Andre

What a wonderful hotel this hotel is. From the moment we checked in it was a pleasant experience. The hotel is perfectly situated near Vanderbilt University and Downtown. I stayed here with my husband who was here on business. In fact he says this will be the hotel of choice next time he is in Nashville. It's not too far from the Belle Meade area where his office is near. While he was busy working I took advantage of the spa. I actually had the spa treatment in my room. It was absolutely wonderful. The rooms were very modern but in a good way. The lights are operated by your room key which took us a bit getting use to. Bathroom was roomy and had glass countertop/sink. Showers were very nice. The room overall was a good size. We had one of the cardio rooms which meant we had an elliptical in our room. Loved it!
We will definitely make this our hotel of choice whenever we are in Nashville.

Our overall experience was very good. I was impressed with the decor in the entire Hotel. The bathroom was exceptional!! I can't say enough good about the bathroom. For whatever reason we were given a Handicap accessible room with 2 Queen beds. We had other family members staying on the same floor who also had 2 Queen beds. I would have to say our room was definately better than theirs for many reasons. We did have a view of the construction work being done, however it was of NO bother to us and we were there for 3 days. The turndown service was exceptional and unexpected. The shuttle service as also an added benefit that we took advantage of multiple times. We also were guests at the bar and 1808 Grille and received great service as well.
My only complaints are: the slow processing of tv channel change, the parking garage and fee.

Overall, I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for great quality, but the price also comes with it.

Our second trip to The Hutton, and though it is not inexpensive, my wife and I have really enjoyed our stay on both occasions. The staff are fantastic, and the simple, clean approach the hotel takes with every detail of design and implementation is great. The beds and showers are amazing, and it has an excellent fitness room, weekday evening wine receptions, espresso machines on each floor and little touches like chocolates and bath robes. Also, it is walking distance to Broadway, though most people seemed happy to wait for the shuttle. The immediate area does not look great but has some of the most fun bars and better restaurants in Nashville, so bear with it and ask the locals where to go.

Came here for Iron Maiden concert. Nice, clean and modern hotel. Love the coffee selections at the ice/coffee station in the hallway. Didn't realize I booked the promo package. The price included breakfast for 2 for both days and lunch for 2 for 1 day (max $35/breakfast; $25/lunch). So far, redeemed breakfast for this morning, planning to redeem tomorrow breakfast. Went to downtown for lunch though. If redeemed them all, that's $95 worth!!! Also, we got a complimentary cheese tray last night. Very and happily surprised. The hotel shuttle is 1st come 1st serve and it's FREE. Will take guests within 3 miles radius. Downtown is only a mile or so away. Complimentary wine yesterday at 5pm in the lobby (don't know if that's everyday event though). Since i don't drink, didn't bother to find out.

It looks like you may have booked with a Travel Agent that we run a special promotion with. Glad you were able to take advantage of the breakfast and enjoyed the welcome amenity.

The wine hour is Monday through Friday from 5:00pm to 6:00pm. We also offer a daily non-alcoholic beverage at the same time so everyone can enjoy Happy Hour!

Warm regards,
Steven Andre

We stayed at the Hutton for three nights over the Labour Day long weekend and greatly enjoyed our visit. The physical space itself, like the lobby and our room, were first-rate: clean and spacious with modern finishes, the hotel was a real pleasure to come back to at the end of each day. We also found that the hotel staff were great to interact with: everyone was friendly and welcoming, and we found that the front-door staff in particular were very helpful and went out of their way to please when dealing with things like taxis and the hotel shuttle.

We found the location of the hotel to be ideal: while not close enough to downtown to walk (especially not in late August heat), the hotel is basically in a straight line and about an $8-10 cab ride from the heart of the action at Broadway and Second Avenue; also, the very close proximity to the I-65/I-40 on-ramp means that the hotel has relatively easy access to all kinds of destinations: the Grand Ole Opry and Opry Mills, East Nashville, south to the Jack Daniel's Distillery, etc.

We would recommend the Hutton Hotel to friends and plan on staying there again when we return to Nashville.

We stayed at the Hutton for 3 days, and I have nothing but praise for the hotel and friendly staff. It is a boutique hotel in a great location in the West End (near Vanderbilt) with shuttle service available to many of the sites you'll want to visit, like the Ryman, the Country Music Hall of Fame, etc. However, if you want to go to the Grand Ole Opry, it is not close by (but worth the effort to get there to see a show!) The concierge was very helpful with arranging area restaurant reservations. Be sure to eat at the hotel restaurant,1808 Grille; the food was exceptional. Midtown Cafe is across the street, and the food was excellent. We also highly recommend dinner at Silo. Pancake Pantry is a must for breakfast/brunch. Our room was very comfortable, quiet, and modern (but tasteful, not over the top), and felt private. In fact there is a privacy button you can use when you are in the room to ensure privacy. The room was kept spotless throughout our stay. There is a self-service Nespresso nook area on our floor, which was a nice convenience. Highly recommend, and would definitely choose to stay again.

Room Tip: There is construction going on next door; ask to be in a room on the other side. We didn't hear...
