This hotel has a very European feel, but is in the middle of Tennessee. THe rooms are a little small, but they have all the amenities one would need wth a very modern, chic feel. The gym is well appointed and stocked with towels and water. The staff was very friendly and helpful. While the hotel is not in downtown proper, it is just moments away. I would stay here again.

The Hutton is a contemporary, well appointed hotel with very comfortable rooms. Most have a view. Free wifi, coffee 24/7 and a choice of newspapers delivered to your room (local paper, USA Today or Wall St Journal). Extremely helpful and gracious staff. (they bring free water and chocolates at night). The 1808 restaurant in the hotel is exceptionally good and attracts a lot of local people and many local professionals stop by for a drink after work. The only consideration with the Hutton is that it's a mile from downtown and there's nothing in walking distance in the way of restaurants, shops or sights. They accommodate this somewhat with a free shuttle that will take you anywhere within a 3 mile radius (a driver took us to a drug store, waited while we shopped then brought us back. Free but of course we tipped). They have extensive valet parking on site.

Room Tip: top floors have a view

We were given a room that smelled absolutely horrible!!
The turn down and room service ladies were super!
But the guys that were suppose to be bell service/valet and front desk seemed to enjoy each other's company so much more than helping any guests. We had to switch rooms once and we waited at least an hour for our bags to be moved.

Truly, if the manager is one of these guys, that explains it, but otherwise not sure how they get away with their poor service.
Would make us choose another hotel next time IF we visit Nashville.

Room Tip: I would definatley check out the room before you let go of the bellman and your bags

Plese be assured we are following up with our team on your experience. We pride ourselves in having an outstanding facility with a fantastic team and it is very disappointing when we have fallen so short of these goals as we did with your stay.

Our stay was absolutely WONDERFUL! We wrote the hotel days before requesting information about Nashville's 4th of July celebrations - they were amazingly helpful sending back links to the event and restaurants in the area. The crib we requested at check-in made it to our room before we did. Reception recommended we self-park on the second level of the garage in order to make it easier for us to roll our baby's stroller (and bags) into the elevators. Loved the green options and hotel car availability. I have only two small complaints: I don't like to pay for wifi (usually, if not in the room, there is a central location such as the lobby to plug in for a bit). Secondly, we had four persons in our room and only one regular coffee packet and one decaf packet. Sure, we could have requested more, but to discover this at 6am in pajamas - it was just a little annoying. Otherwise, it was an amazing stay and we are excited to return on our next trip to Nashville!

Room Tip: 15th floor can see downtown. Utilize the first-come, first-serve hotel Lexus hybrid SUV (and driver...

We really enjoyed the Hutton. The hospitality and courteous staff were the best. The room was prepared in an exemplary manner. The bathroom fixtures and style were something to write about. MINI Takes the States picked a first rate hotel.

I travelled with a large car club and we had reserved the entire hotel for our group. The place was jam packed. Regardless, the staff and hotel were absolutely great and flawless in their service and desire to make sure everything that everyone wanted was met and exceeded. It started from a complimentray glass of wine during check in through the super comfortable rooms to the speedy check out. As a side note, after a long drive, the shower was "to die for", large roomey with a foot square shower head mounted in the ceiling that gave you the impression of walking into a warn rain. I was glad that I woke up early to spend some extra time indulging :) I will definitely stay here again.

We attended a wedding reception in the Hutton ballroom and decided to stay at the hotel. We actually live in Nashville, but thought it would be fun to stay there and we were right! Like other reviewers, we found the staff to be very polite, friendly and helpful. From the front desk to housekeeping, everyone was very accommodating and they always had a smile on their face. We were on the elevator with housekeeping staff on several occasions and each one of them struck up a pleasant conversation with us.

The room was very comfortable and nicely appointed and the bathroom was fabulous. The toiletries supplied were of very nice quality and the overhead rain shower was to die for.

The hotel's location is ideal, close to both Vanderbilt University and downtown Nashville for a visit to Lower Broadway. If possible, try to get a downtown-facing room - the view at night is very nice and you can see the lit-up state Capitol building in the distance.
