“Ok stay, but didn't feel that welcome”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 6, 2012

Stayed for 2 nights here, but wouldn't return.
The good points: the hostess Linda is very helpful and can provide help concerning anything you might like to do in Nashville. They have a snack area, which is a nice touch.
The average bits: the rooms are comfortable, but I feel a little overpriced. There's no tea or coffee facilities in the room, you have to make a drink in the snack room from bottled water in the microwave. We were expecting the full blown southern hospitality breakfast (the ones where you have to lie down after) you won't get that here.
The bad points: We didn't feel that welcome here, it wasn't anything that was said, just what wasn't. Felt as if we were rushed off from breakfast, as if we'd taken too long. Also toiletries were not replenished after the first day (a cheap pet hate of mine when staying longer than a day)

This B & B was just wonderful! When I walked into my room, The French Room, and saw the old fashioned free standing white tub, I thought I had seen a little touch of Heaven. Everything about this place was perfect for my two day stay. The owners were so nice and very personable, the beds were comfortable, everything was spotless clean and the breakfast was delicious each morning. It felt like home.

Room Tip: Every room is wonderful... every bath complete and clean!

My wife and I spent a week in Nashville last week and stayed with Linda & Darrell. Their home is beautiful, very comfortable, easy assess to where you want to go in Nashville. Linda and Darrell were absolutely delightful people, so gracious and caring about you (us) as individuals and what and how we were doing on our trip.
This place is the BEST place to stay in Nashville, a MUST DO if going there.

THANK YOU Linda and Darrell for making our stay there a memory we will NOT forget!!

Thursday, May 17, 2012 in the afternoon, my brother-in-law, his wife, my wife and I checked into Daisy Hill Bed and Breakfast for three nights. We were making a first time visit to Nashville and were excited about taking in as many of the sights as we could.

We were greeted at the door by Linda Bengson, our hostess. Linda immediately showed us our rooms, explaining how everything worked in great detail. She then showed us the rest of this magnificent house. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the home as well the attention paid to decor and comfort. When finished with the tour, she spent a great deal of time determining what we wanted to do during our visit and showing us the best and easiest ways to accomplish our goals. During our conversation it became obvious she possesses a great deal of knowledge about Nashville and the surrounding area and is more than happy to share it.

We went into town for a few hours and found things to be just as Linda had said they would be. We had a great time. Returning to Daisy Hill we found Darrell had arrived home. Darrell was kind enough to spend time with us in the evening engaging in lively conversation and freely sharing his extensive knowledge of the area.

Each morning Linda prepared a breakfast for us complete with fresh fruit and a delicious main course and on the weekend days Darrell served it with all the professionalism of a 5 star waiter.

It's obvious the operation of this bed and breakfast is a labor of love for this couple. While not native to the area, they both have a complete understanding of 'Southern Hospitality' and their main focus is on providing a quality experience to all their visitors.

I have a lot of experience of B&B's having lived in the United Kingdom for the past 20 years. Daisy Hill is one of the best examples I have ever come accross. The decor is very traditional, the beds are feather as well as the duvets and pillows. (They also had synthetic alternatives). Excellent english bath tub! We were welcomed in a warm and friendly way, shown around our rooms (we reserved the French and Scandanavian rooms) and we were told there were other guests staying in the Scottish room. We were able to relax in the sitting room and watch t.v and there were games and books a plenty to choose from. Our hosts were very friendly. Snacks, hot drinks and water were available as well as a request for help with crochet item! The only reason I did not rate this a 5 is because the breakfast was cold (I would recommend warming the plates in the oven before serving) and we were not offered toast. Small point in what was otherwise an excellent stay. Do not try and drive up the driveway- park at the bottom unless you want to lose your exaust! I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS B&B!

Room Tip: Deep English bath in French room (wonderful and included bubble bath) as well as nice soap

We stayed here as part of our road trip, when visiting Nashville. It was a lovely house and the room was super, the tallest bed I've ever slept in, need steps to get in, I felt like the princess in the fairytale 'princess and the pea' although there was definitely no pea and the bed was very comfortable. Linda was most welcoming and cooked a fabulous breakfast. We were able to drive into town easily at night and park, taking in all of Nashville's music, shops and bars.

We loved staying at this bed and breakfast. The hosts, Linda and Darrell, couldn't have been more accommodating. They were so welcoming. The breakfasts were wonderful. We stayed for six nights and every morning we had something different that was absolutely delicious. The rooms were very comfortable each with a private bath. We were with another couple, so it was nice to have places to sit, talk and relax. If we are ever in Nashville again, we will definitely stay there again.
