Having grown up in Korea, I still crave Korean food at times. Have traveled here from Alabama twice over the past year. Both experiences were GREAT. It was fun to see a mix of both Americans & Koreans enjoying the food.
The fried dumplings (yakki mondu) were excellent & non-greasy. The side dishes were all tasty & the Bulgogi had a sweet marinade taste just like I remember from Korea. The portions were more than generous & you won't leave hungry! The waitress & other staff were so polite, willing to serve & had pleasant dispositions!!
For such an authentic, quality food experience, our total bill at the BBQ table for 2 people was $62. This included an appetizer, 2 entrees (w/the standard 8 side dishes that were replenished!), 2 glasses of wine & 2 soft drinks.
We will return soon & bring friends to experience a taste of Korea!!

On the side street adjacent to the huge Asian/Hispanic K&S Market is Seoul Garden. Lunch time is much more pleasant to me than dinner, which seems to always be packed. The Korean appetizers which come with even an $8.95 lunch are healthy tidbits of vegetables and perhaps an egg. Their bimbimbap, which I had yesterday was a pleasant, enticing presentation of vegetables, galbi (tender, marinated beef), and a fried egg. They put the rice on the side, which is unusual, but with are carb worrying society, it's okay! I'd like to see them offer the option of brown rice. But for a $10 lunch (tax) and a $2 tip (don't be too cheap), it's a great deal.

2 couples, sat at BBQ table . Had 3 appetizers and 4 entrees , which all very good (loved the tofu, seafood pancake and Bulgogi) and tons of food. We didn't finish anything.
We also enjoyed very prompt and attentive service which others had not.
We will be back !

Our son just moved to Nashville and lives right around the corner. We decided to go to Seoul Garden because we love Korean food and the prices seemed really reasonable. We figured it would be good when we realized we were the only nonAsians in the place. I had the Bolgum Gogi. Wow! Excellent. Everyone else ordered soups or stews. Plenty of sides. We all enjoyed every bite. The waitress was sweet, a little hard to understand but we all managed. Really great time

We've known Seoul Garden for several years, and it's one of the places we go in Nashville for a down-to-earth, good meal. It's very casual with a Nashville clientèle of varied races and ethnicities.

With most of the entrées, Seoul Garden serves small dishes of, for instance, marinated hard-boiled eggs, pickled jalapeños, pickled daikon, potatoes, bean sprouts, and kimchee-- and the servers are usually happy to bring more.

Everything we've eaten here has been excellent and the ingredients fresh. The portions are large, and the food is always satisfying. There are a lot of easy choices for the Weight Watcher, gluten-free, low-fat, or vegetarian dieter.

Seoul Garden features an up-to-date menu on the website.

Along one side of the restaurant are tables with barbecue grills at the center, and huge hoods overhead. Here, you can order plates of bulgogi (marinated ribeye, chicken, or pork) which you grill yourself. Even in other parts of the restaurant it can be a LITTLE smoky, though, depending on the number of tables using the grills.

Soups, stews, dumplings, it's all delicious. Just the other night, 2 of us had the Bibimbob (a large bowl with fresh lettuce, shredded carrots, radishes, cabbage, beef and rice); and Dak bulgogi (marinated, grilled chicken), for 2 people, with hot tea, all for $25.02 without tip. We had to take home most of the chicken which was even better the next day.

It's a funny place. Large flat-screen TV's play what I assume are DVD's of kinetic pop singers and dancers-- Korean, presumably, but I've never paid attention for long. Maybe it's a TV station. Not TOO loud, though.

There's at least one karaoke private room with grill, which is fun with a group.

Some of the servers don't speak English very well, but if you can't get your point across, they'll get one of the native speakers to help.
