Nashville's botanical garden. Home of the Maxwell House Coffee fortune. For fan's of the large homes of the Guilded Age, this is the last one of the era. The gardes and grounds are extraordinary. Special events are well planned . Love Cheekwood

We really enjoyed the beautiful gardens, so many flowers, trees, butterflies, birds, etc. Plus history of multiple generations with an amazing amount of original works of art, furniture, and property artifacts! A must see!

A lot of walking with very few signs to give directions or other items information. Poor maps with inadequate information. We were not told that all sculptures were being removed on the day we visited and replanting of plants in progress. It was a very hot day so we did not go to all the gardens.

My husband and I both have Bdays the first week in September so we drove to Nashville and went to the botanical gardens. The Cracking Art was adorable! The grounds are still very beautiful! There were children running and playing, supervised of coarse, having the best time!
We had not been in years, and the best surprise was the new train exhibit that is there permanently!
Have a relaxing time!

We had a wonderful tour of this great home and gardens. We enjoyed all this history and stories about this Iconic American family. The staff was very knowledgable about the home and grounds. We were a day early for the opening of their new cafe. We will have to go back and try it. It was August and the garden staff was already wrapping trees in Christmas lights for the holidays!
