Owner description: "The Bluebird Cafe is one of the world's preeminent listening rooms and has gained worldwide recognition as a songwriter's performance space where the "heroes behind the hits" perform their own songs; songs that have been recorded by chart-topping artists in all genres of music. Located in a small strip mall outside of downtown Nashville, the tiny 85 seat venue is unassuming in appearance but some of the most significant songwriters and artists have performed on this stage.

“great "listening room"”
Reviewed September 22, 2012

This place is an intimate venue where you can listen to up-and-coming country singer/songwriters. It is a true "listening room" (not a bar w/ a band atmosphere), so don't be obnoxious. Make sure to get a reservation online (a week before) so you have a guaranteed seat.

Parking is a bit of a hassle, and the food is hit or miss. But the Bluebird is a special place I keep returning to every time I'm in Nashville.

“Landmark for Music lovers”
Reviewed September 4, 2012

This place has been on my bucket list. Must have reservations for shows, small venue seats 75. Plan to eat, drink and listen to amazing songwriters. If you don't have a reservation show up early for the wait list, if you don't mind standing in line you will probably get in!

“A Unique Experience!”
Reviewed August 31, 2012 via mobile

If you live in Nashville this might just be everyday. If you like country music and you are from anywhere else, this is a unique experience. Great music from the songwriters behind the stars. Reserve tickets online, there are no bad seats. If you sit at the bar you will not have to wait for a drink.

“Stop and make reservations for great insight to an industry.”
Reviewed August 26, 2012

My wife and I, though without reservations due to being briefly informed of site, were able to see a part of the music industry not often seen by many. The Cafe is a site for upcoming artists, songwriters and singers, who perform basically for free. This Cafe has sponsorship by some major industrial businesses. Food is reasonable. Only 100 people allowed each night for a show. There are two shows each night the cafe is open. Parking is available for free.

“An amazing glimpse into the talent of Music City.”
Reviewed August 19, 2012

This was the most fascinating two hours of music I have experienced. Four very talented singer/songwriters performed their music, many on the country charts, others soon to be published. Not to be missed. Make reservations or get there an hour before showtime for a seat.
