My husband and I did the Young Jacksonians Haunted Hermitage Tour and it was AWESOME! We had so much fun and met some really nice people. Next time we visit Nashville we plan to visit this huge plantation during the day!

The Hermitage tour includes a short movie, a walking tour of the grounds guided by audio recordings that each visitor controls and listens to over their own headset, and a personally tour of Andrew Jackson's residence guided by personnel dressed in period costumes. Each part of the program is very well choreographed and the historic information presented in an interesting and easily understood manner. This is a great way to spend an afternoon...you won't want to cut your time here short.
The house was nice and you get to see some personal artifacts from the President and his wife including one of the carriages. The tour of the house was nice and the grounds were in good shape. In the visitor center there is a short movie to watch.
We spent at least a half a day here and it was worth it. The tour of the mansion was incredibly informative and the audio tour filled in the gaps and described various sites on the grounds. This is a big property so set aside enough time to stroll through the gardens, listen to the audio and take the mansion tour.
The Hermitage is a beautiful home and nice to visit with friends. The grounds around the home are also interesting to view.
A museum for well over 100 years, this home is fortunate to contain original Jackson items. The audio tour is interesting and the grounds in the fall are gorgeous. You truly feel that you have stepped back in time.
