kind of boring. slave part was cool. The headphones have a lot of long drawn-out info so I didn't use mine.

We really enjoyed our tour of President Jackson's home and grounds. Many interesting facts and original or preserved items in the house. Enjoyed strolling the grounds with a headset of informative information. Many buildings and trails to explore. Well worth it if you have a couple of hours to spend and enjoy history.

Just moved to Nashville and didn't have anything to do on a Sunday, so my friend and I decided to go visit The Hermitage.

The admission was $19 per person and it includes the audio tour and access to the house and grounds. First you get to see a 10-15 minute movie in the visitor's center and then you have free access to the grounds.

The guides in the house are very knowledgeable of the history of the house and the mansion itself is very well preserved. After seeing the house, we walked the grounds and gardens and with the aid of the audio tour, it was very interesting.

It was so easy to go back in time at Jackson's home. Very well restored/presented. The guides were excellent. Lots of walking (we could have taken the wagon tour but elected not to) on a warm day.

We decided to visit the Hermitage, home of President Andrew Jackson. Definitely advise that you check this out. We also opted to take the wagon tour of the grounds (which really helped as it covered many acres that would have been hard to walk). Everything is the way it was back in the day. I loved seeing the conditions they had to endure, the poor slaves and their homes,
gave a true glimpse into what life was like.
Wear good walking shoes, I was happy I decided to wear my gym shoes.
The museum gives you a headset and an audio to push buttons to hear about the various sections. It is broken down into 3 different tours.
We toured the museum, which also included a movie; took the wagon ride, but we did not take the tour of the Donelson home. Just touring the museum and the wagon ride, we were gone
about 4-5 hours. We took our time as it was a lovely day.
They do have a place for refreshments and to sit down in cool a/c rooms, plus a gift shop.
Definitely a place to see. Keep in mind there is a discount for age 62 and above or AAA members. We also saw in our hotel $1.00 off coupons.
Anything helps!!
Everyone so helpful and happy. Loved this part of our trip!!
