“Worth your time!”

It is wonderful to see history in a house setting. The rooms and the surrounding grounds are all done as was back then. It is awesome to see items that a President and his family used on a day to day basis. Go and see it.

“Step back in time”
Reviewed June 29, 2012

I really don't think I can put into words the experience I had at The Hermitage. I'm not really going to try and go too in depth in my review. The amount of money you spend to enter The Hermitage is well worth the experience you will have. Watch the movie at the beginning of the tour. Be sure and get the head set that will be your guide through most of the tour. Pay attention to the period characters/guides in the Jackson House and ask them questions if you have any. Most important of all you need to be sure and take your time. If you are in a rush, I would not suggest coming here. I spent almost three hours there, and I probably could have spent another hour or two looking around. It really is like you step back in time in some places. If you enjoy history I guarantee you will enjoy this place.

Be sure to see the Donelson House across the road that is part of the tour....I enjoyed it more than the Hermitage.

My family and I had a wonderful time touring The Hermitage. Take the horse carriage tour! It is well worth the extra fees.
