This is worth the couple minute drive from the city to see! Amazing architecture. You will feel like you are in Greece. Beautiful!

I especially liked the way it looked from the outside. I thought that they took this building from greece and brought it here. The statues on the inside were very authenic looking and the massive statue of Athena was very impressive. This statue was 42 feet tall. I also liked all the art work painted by well known painters that filled this building. When I go some where and I learn new and different things, than I find that place a worth wild place to go to. This happens to be one of them.

The Parthenon in Nashville is a quick 10-15 minute drive from city center. There's a nice big lawn to hang out/picnic & lounge. I did not go into the actual museum but I heard it was great, either way, just sitting on the lawn and steps admiring the magnificent Parthenon is fun. The lawn area is very well-kept. It's a must-see if you're in the Nashville area and you're sick of the nash-vegas strip of fluorescent lights and pan-handlers.

Breathtaking --- A "to scale" model of Greece's Parthenon. The outside is so picturesque you forget that there is a museum and art gallery inside. The art gallery is average if not a little below due to the number of paintings on display. However, the art is impressive. There is both permanent and visiting exhibits. The museum about the Tennessee Exhibition that was cause for the Parthenon to be built in the first place is exceptional. It is impressive to see the engineering that went into saving a throw away structure into the National icon it is today. The top level that holds the statue of Athena is also breathtaking and I couldn't get enough pictures of her. There are cast replicas on the Elgin Marbles that give you a perspective on the artistry and size of the original Parthenon. There is an admission: $6 for adults, $4 for children and they have senior rates -- it is well worth the price of admission. The part surrounding the Parthenon is also worth noting and spending some time in.

While visiting family in Nashville they took us here, this is someplace that you would not think or know about if you just visiting. It cost $6.00 to go inside and the 42' statue of Athena is worth going in for, I'm not a huge history buff but this was really something to see.

If your going to Nashville you should take a hour out to see this, I will never get to Greece so this was cool to see.
